‪@DABRATTV‬ was absolutely right when she said that what Kirk Franklin's son Kerrion did was disgusting. And whoever said, "Blood is thicker than water" lied. The people who show you love and support are your family.

Thank You Mr. Smiley for Giving this ENORMOUS message of Reality and Love. Everyday I have an example or just a comparison for my kids about Back then ( growing up the 80's) and today. I try to show, tell, and be the example my parents were for me. Believe me that sometimes I'll tear up or actually cry when I think of how Desensitized the youth is nowadays. No empathy, No respect, No consideration, No Shame, etc. The simple act of helping one another is almost extinct. Let's Stop Co-signing other people's BS and Hold those guilty of BS Accountable. Much Love to Everyone God bless you All.

My wonderful daddy told me at the age of 14: “I have only ONE wife. You (the child) get what you need; you will get a job for the things you want. Your mom (the wife) gets what she needs AND what she wants. When you get grown, make sure you either provide both for yourself or marry a man who will do both for you.” This was the BEST lesson my dad could have ever lovingly taught me.

I've read all the comments this is why I don't believe in Christianity. U can say whatever do whatever. As long as you go to your god and repent. Everything is okay. No accountability for your actions. As your religion teaches only your god can judge. So u treat people badly u hurt them. And now that u have found white Jesus it's all under his blood. U will pay for it later. If he decide so. Does anybody knows how this man was treated as a child. No! So he might have a reason to expose his farther. But your religion teaches no matter what your parents do u must honor them. Bullshit! Respect is

Instead they wanna talk about respect. you gotta repair the hearts you broke at some time. this only happens in our community. What happened before or after, middle whatever does not matter. A parent shouldn’t speak to their child this way. Doesn’t matter how old they are. I started a job in the social services field and learned a lot of things about child development. I was about 42 and my two children were 22 and 20. I cried because I realized the mistakes I had made raising them. I called each of them and apologized for spanking them over minor things and frankly going overboard. My son told me when he was 25 how he never felt he could come to me because I never believed him. He was crying and my first instinct was to be defensive because he was raised by me and his stepfather who did a great job. His bio-dad wasn’t as present as he could’ve been. But the Holy Spirit told me to be quiet and let him get it out. After he finished I was crying and again apologized and expressed how I Always loved him and did my very best with what I Albee at the time. I had to forgive myself and be okay with mistakes. I refuse to apologize all my life! Both of our kids are successful and are great parents. Thankfully they’ve learned from our mistakes! I’m praying for the Franklin family!❤️🙏🏽

as a christian when a sin is made public by us, and witnesses prove it is true, you should publicly apologize, so Kirk did right there, if it was not made public, then he only needed to apologize to God and his son privately ,and his son to him and God, and try at least to work out their differences, if possible. If a christian publicly sins and refuses to repent, that sends a message to the world, why should they accept Jesus and repent, when christians are out their cussing their sons and fathers out, and then refusing to acknowledge it is wrong, or. apologize. Jesus started his ministry with repent for the kingdom of God is at hand, and in these last days, we need to repent, forgive those that wrong us, get rid of grudges, and follow the teachings of Jesus and the apostles, as time is running out, and judgement starts at the house of the Lord first, before the world. So I applaud Kirk for manning up, and being responsible for his actions, that could have been us, and we need to do the same, and then move on. I pray dearly, for both father and son.

I lost my mother a month ago and the pain is so great its feels like I am Dying Because there's a lot of things that I regret.... when my mother only told me what was right And I had to learn the hard way.. and those things I am still paying for right now. so anyone that's older wiser than me.. I take every single advice to make the right decisions and the right choices in my life Because when your mother is gone or your father is gone You're gonna wish like hell you listened whether you liked it or not... RIP mommy You're watching over me..🙏💕 thank you Rickey Smiley for these words of Incouragement...

You got me crying! This Sunday, March 28th, will mark the 10th year I've been without my mom! I lost my dad in 1981, so that's be 40 years now! These people will NEVER understand! And, the pain and loss is indescribable. These same ingrates will be throwing themselves on the coffin, screaming and crying, and making a complete JACKASS out of themselves at the funeral! And, my friend, it doesn't matter what their race is! Because, the only thing that's truly colorblind is "JACKASSERY"! Thank you for speaking TRUTH! I've pretty much walked away from the rest of my family since losing my mom, because of how they treated me afterwards.

When in high school I remember listening to friends talking so BADLY about their parents and i thought, "I am glad my father is dead. I would rather him be in the grave as my hero than for me to EVER disrespect him like that." For real. Then as a mom, I had to be that tough mom to my teen and grown children. I always ask myself, "if i keep giving in to their foolishness, how will they be able to function when I am gone? " You have to love them enough to let them fall.

These same words would then be passed on to me by my Mother when I became a parent. In others words, when you have done all you can to the best of your ability then leave the rest to God. See... I can only speak for myself & my experience with my own parents. My mom consistently exudes the Webster definition of disrespect but then in turn wants to be respected. She hides her disrespect behind “You’re a child and you need to stay in a child’s place.” THEN will turn right around and talk about “You’re a grown woman.” Ok Ma, make your mind up!!! I will always be your child, I’ll never out age you for as long as I live but either you treat me as an adult and we equally respect each other or you treat me like a child and I immaturely disrespect you. My mom will say make a statement and I might reply, I disagree. That’s viewed as disrespectful. That’s considered “talking back.” I’m 31 years old Ma, LOL. We can both express our opinions & views and not be disrespectful to each other. It seems like every disagreement is viewed as disrespect to her. I can recall a situation or event from my childhood and she will fight me tooth and nail on how my recollection is inaccurate or I’m making it up. You cannot explain MY recollection from your vantage point. & my dad sits back and agrees with everything she says because if he takes up for me, I’m accused of “driving a wedge between them.” In turn, I just stay away. I miss them from time to time but every time the lines of communication are opened up again, I apologize for something I don’t fee bad about but my mom always requires an apology because it’s my fault, we’ll be good for 3 months then it’s another fallout and a 1-3 year time span of not talking. It’s exhausting.
@carltoncoleman454
@carltoncoleman454 3 жыл бұрын
That sounds exhausting. Now that I have lived on my own for a few years and I am going on 38 years old. I only talk to my mom about 4 to 5 times a week and see here maybe 3 to 4 times a month. When they have different ideologies that conflict with yours, it is good to put some healthy distance between you and them and not talk or see them everyday. My dad and I don't talk. I'm gay and atheist. He is a Christian minister so it is hard to engage with him because he is not open minded.

As a part of the Saved community, I have yet to actually see a post from a Christian/Saved person that is downing or degrading him. Who is? His son is a whole.... Anyone with children knows that they will take you there sometimes. I’ve never had mine to take me that deep off in there, but we took a trip by there. I’m just not understanding. That's not healthy. We need to start having the conversation about toxic parents. These parents raise hurt children who become hurt adults. Some parents are way too disrespectful. They talk down to you, belittle you and the moment you respond, the black community jumps on your ass because we believe that because they are parents regardless of their evil ways, they deserve respect. Nope. My mom is so toxic but I don't put up with it. I visit her every other week, male an occasional phone call. Unfortunately, she sold her house and moved in my sister's house without a discussion...visited and never left. Now the toxicity that my sister moved out of her house from after university is plopped right in her home. My sister's voice is now stifled. I don't join that.

I see why kids in the US send their parents to the nursing home when they get older. In most other countries parents do not think that way about their kids no matter how old they get. They work as a collective. If you fail, I fail and so does the family name. US is more about individualism and me first. Even in biblical times family worked as a nation of people. Their pride was their tribe/family, and their names lived on for generations. Successful lineage meant everything. And making sure your parents, your children, and honor and success was provided for everyone and everyone was a part of it who wanted to be. Family life in the US is in ruins. Because of that the children has little to no protection against evil outside ruins. I'm from Mexico. Family for us means protection for the old and protection for the kids. We always have enough to go around for everyone. US family life is the pits

@@sandraangel6740 Your family life is in trouble in the US. Satan has broken down the family to where even your women don't respect or even feel like they need men in their lives. Your new generation of children have little to no respect for older ones. Black families have been affected the most and even targeted by the system because unity is a threat. White families keep their family name clean at all cost. Their family name is everything. Blacks who get a little something deal out tough love to their children. White families give the world to their kids to where they are secure even as adults. Black kids are kicked out and expected to learn from hard knocks. Don't ask us parents for nothing. You're completely on your own. And many of them fail because of it. You need all the help you can get in this world. Your children should be top priority no matter what it takes or how long it takes.
