I’m so sorry to hear that you had bad experiences when you were younger and vulnerable and and i can empathize as someone who immigrated and had to learn a new language in my 30s and then came up with a lot of the same harshness and intolerance - even from extended family members. and i also always got on better with boys because girls - let’s face it are judgmental, jealous and competitive - sadly it’s mainly because they never learned how to stand up for and respect themselves - which is the journey we are all on now as the feminine. I guess it helps to remember that the challenges are what make us and shape us and can also teach us tolerance, discernment and compassion for ourselves and others.

Katya, you just were around crappy people, I LOVE Russian literature, Russian architecture and design, I've never been to Russia, I don't speak or read Russian, but some of my favorite writers were Russian- what an incredible history and people. My parents are Latino I'm first generation American, although my mother came to the US when she was a little girl, with my grandmother. I've always wanted to visit Russia to experience the art and the people. And I LOVE the Russian accent. It's funny, I feel that I was Russian in a past life, I really do, I can identify very much with what I perceive to be the determination, strength, and melancholia of the Russian people.
