tanzbär offers 144 patches organized in banks and sets. all sounds can be recorded for each pattern. we also offer a manual mode to create another sound for the actual pattern.

Yes. You're absolutely right. As a manufacturer of instruments, they have no need to entice others to purchase their products. :) Other small companies that do get the online importance when they don't have a physical presence in local music shops: Mutable Instruments, Dave Smith Instruments, etc. My point was that the site is hard to get around, and I thank Sonic State for posting videos like this so I can hear the instruments and learn about them.

I guess it was a honest "oh cool" these days not every key around has after touch... and that's crazy... so I understand the surprise!

Only when you get to the product detail pages. None of the product listings have English versions.

Right. Lots of places have it online, but I have yet to see a local store which had anything I could play with hands-on. My point was, videos like Nick's here are the only thing we have to go on because the MFB site is terrible. I was thanking Nick :)

the drum machine sounds pretty good and 2 extra channels to drive synths too.nice!

Now these are nice.. after the awful Novation BSII demos, this touch of classy analogue goodness is music to my ears.
@tristanchroma901411 жыл бұрын
And despite their website, it seems every single demonstration of their synths and drum machines are fantastic. The fact that it's a 90s style HTML page combined with the language barrier from English makes it all incredibly confusing.

sound and hardware is quite different to mentioned instruments, so pize is kind of realistic! for someone dont wanna spend this can choose dominion x plus small midi keyboard;)

The synth looks really cool, but when I had a Kraftzwerg with LFO problems, it was really hard to get MFB to fix it in a timely fashion (I'm in the USA), and I'm reluctant to deal with them again. Not sure if their customer service has improved.

Thanks for this. MFB has one of the worst websites ever (it's like a 1996 frontpage site with lots of links without photos), and no one local carries MFB. Videos like this are the best way to learn about their stuff.

No not at all, the ribbon can simply be sealed over with superglue. Alternatively, gigantic thumb reductions are very cheap in Bangkok these days.

Nice machines but how about patch memory so I can recall my settings in the studio or on stage. Are we back in the 80's or something? Everyone keeps putting out instruments that are lacking todays modern functions. Dave Smith & Moog are just about the only company who knows musicians needs anymore.
@disapprovingowl787511 жыл бұрын
Maschine isn't a synth, it utilizes softsynth and sampling programs, but the two things (Maschine and Dominion) are inherently different. Komplete 9 has some great analog modeling programs like Monark, but Maschine is an arranging tool, not a synth. If you're asking the what the upside to this vs. softsynths would be, it just comes down to a tonality thing, you can get close with a number of softsynths but true analog tone has a warmth that is very difficult to replicate.

Let's not forget MFB is still a small company and not as big as Korg or Roland. I'm sure they put all their work and effort into building their instruments instead of putting tooooo much time into demonstration videos. That's what the annual Musikmesse is for.

which is what i'm doing now with my dark energy aaaaaand no thanks. the DE is by some umpredictable luck fitting perfectly in the space between the wheels and the volume slider in my mc2000, therefore i wouldn't have the physical space for the dominion X.... what i am saying is, yes price is realistic, but i feel it being a little overpriced... was it really so expensive to make a different chassis and adding the keybed and keyboard electronics? (btw have they developed their own?)

seriously? 3 vcos, memories, sequencer, all the features you might want, patch points ... AND aftertouch. if this would cost 600€ Minibrute and mini ms20 should cost no more than 200€ then. 1350 is a little too high though, i hoped for at least 1200
