Clearly a CSR move to bring more equity into the music production realm. My pet goat (who has Alzheimers) will find this kind of tech invaluable when creating her next synthwave album. Thanks Roland.

I can only see one use for this VST at the moment. If you are a touring musician and want to leave your Montage M at home or in the studio and not be carrying it around because of weight issues and because it is quite an expensive instrument, then you can use a midi controller or a cheaper keyboard with the software, then it is a good choice. But apparently they don't even know what they made it for...

I see the op-zy as giving more variation than generative. I hear Paulee when he said the engines are a bit vanilla though. But the story about not socializing w someone at a gathering because they are playing a certain synth was cringey.

I'm with Paulee on generative note making, etc. I really want what's in my head to go in to the sequencer without being interfered with. The fun for me is in making my own manipulations to what I've done as I go along. I love what I've seen of the Polyend Synth and I love my Tracker, so that way feels like a no brainer for me and a lot less expensive. 🙂
@sonicstateКүн бұрын

@jonbirchartistКүн бұрын
@@sonicstate I can see that. The Polyend allows for one of its 3 synths to change chords on the others, but I get that's not as complex. I also think, from what I've so far heard, the Polyend engines sound far more interesting and certainly have depth. Although I guess when it comes to sound that is subjective.

Oh, yes, @GPUADIO, Immersive Audio, what a joke, I completely agree with you, when all this rotten apples create marketing material out of thin air, like Immersive Audio and it is all FAKE. Companies as big as Microsoft have been developing the new realtime sound and MIDI libraries for Windows and you still cannot run a single real DAW in their Snapdragon Microsoft Surface which are still there since a decade or more, although this is a different subject, but Realtime Audio is always considered a second class citizen for these big companies like Microsoft, but people are not complete idiots, and people realize that in the end it has all been dirty confuse fake marketing material, and now people know what to ask for @GPUAUDIO. I've been reading about all this fake marketing in every product since the 80's, and businesses keep making things even more fake than before 40 years later.

Interesting. Sometimes I feel like a Lab Rat exploring patches, sometimes categorized, sometimes tagged, but in the end I usually take my own favorites, and tools like this one, based on the sound itself more than tags or descriptions I think are a really good example of using AI to improve many people lives. It's like some equalizers while listening the same song and you're given between 3 and 5 choices, and once you choose one of this, you're given a lot more choices based on previous choice, thus going deeper and deeper or even returning back and explore different options. Probably you don't need it if you're a professional sound designer, but I realize professional sound design is a complete new world for me, and I cannot do everything. Go Go! We need it for yesterday!!! 🤣
