The things that make Messi absolutely unstoppable are 1- His speed with the ball. Usually normal players have to slow down to keep the ball under control, but he can run at full speed with total control of the ball (this is a characteristic owned by Cristiano Ronaldo and Franceso Totti too) 2- The trick in small spaces. Half a meter (1,5 foots) is enough for him to do everything he needs. His control of the ball makes him juggling in small spaces between a bounch of opponent playes. Messi is probably uniquie in this... The only other player I saw with this "power" was Maradona 3- Quick shot. Normal players requires some sort of "preparation" to deliver a good shot, between 0.5 and 1 second. Messi is able to fire a shot immeditely and suprise players catching them off guard I'm not talking about the precision of his shots and his passages because that's the main thing a champion is supposed to have to begin with
