An absolute classic! Wow! I never had the chance to see MPB! Thx for sharing! They rocked live!!

Wow and thank you!! What a great Christian heavy metal band. Sadly any live performance of them is so scare. I only have a concert of them at Cornerstone 1986. That is not as good as this.

These guys dropped off the map right after this! Does anyone know what happened to them? I heard that Charlie Clark died a few years ago, but that's all I've heard. Remember the days when there were less than 15 Christian Metal albums available? And 3 were Stryper?? A great video!!

That's true. A new lineup for one more release called colours came out . I think Boone's overstock might handle it.

@@clintpostolka3756 Yeah, as I recall they had a pretty different sound and a different lead singer, right?

Best footage of MP i've seen...I got the Master of the Metal cassette in 86 and was really into it! I had discovered Stryper's Soldiers under command and Leviticus - The Strongest Power and then this..Probably my favourite christian metal at that time before the 2nd wave of the heavier bands in the late 80s where my favourites were Sacred Warrior, Vengeance, Believer, Deliverance, Tourniquet, Seventh Angel etc...

Awesome ! Thank you so much ! One of my 80th-Favourites, I own the LP and CD !! The video has really good quality and sound for this age !! It´s so good to see this Band live in such quality ! I often play for my fun this songs on guitar and bass. And the whole "Master of the metal"-Album is played, a band with a own-unique Style ! It´s a pitty, that they only made 2 records plus one crappy cd some years futher, but without the original members, only under this band-name, so there are only 2 real recordings ! Thank you again ! ... one story to the album: before my test for my driving-licence in 1989 I listen to this record and .... I passed it and got my licence ! That my personal remembering to this record !

Don't get me wrong, I love Messiah Prophet, but I wonder if Richard Simmons knew that Charlie was raiding his wardrobe? 😂

So good, I just had to make a second comment. Does anyone know if the band members are still in the faith? In this world of deconstruction and antichrist wokeness, it's wonderful to see Christian artists that keep the faith like our dear departed brother, Michael Bloodgood.

I listened to Rock the Flock in the 80s. MPB weren't necessarily good but they were definitely great! You didn't quite know who they were or where they were coming from. Very Different.

Although I still listen now and then I was not particularly fond of their studio albums. They were quite ... slow. Their live performance was much more lively. Loved that.

I was around and seen these bands me and my musician friends thought that they were wannabe rockstars the way they dressed and acted it was so obvious not much Gospel getting out just rock out rock rock .
@emvdhout3 ай бұрын
A much heard comment about christian bands. I never shared it. There are so many non-christian bands that just copy each other. Not to mention the countless cover bands that even don't bother to write their own songs. This way of dressing was very, very common in these days for bands, and wannabe or not, you still have to stand on that stage and perform for your audience. I think they did a great job. Not flawless, but so enthusiastic. Look at the comments here. People still love it.
