Really digging the wide open snare sound you’re getting on this mix. (Playing is superior as always too!)

Ha! I was thinking the exact opposite. :p The snare seemed at least 6dB too hot in the mix and more like wacking a timbale. IMO it was a bit overbearing and annoying. I didn't hear any of the *snares/wire buzz* :/ I would probably just mic the bottom of the snare drum in this scenario and let my overheads fill in the rest. Play this same exact track, but with a low tuned, Big Fat Snare sound and I'd be grinning ear to ear. Horses for courses & different strokes for different folks I guess. ;) *Great jam tho', Nick* !!! Do you mind sharing your *Cymbal Setup* (L to R from your POV)?

This sounds great. Aja outro at 1:02. Ha ha.. JK... But seriously, the half time 6 or 3 flam thing at the top is especially cool..

@@nickbuda Hey there. Thanks for replying. And sorry I'm so late to hear you, I'm stuck in the 70's ha ha.. We actually have a mutual friend in Kenny's bass player. When you talk to her you can tell her Mo Roberts says hello :-). Best to you, you sound great.

I thought the exact same thing when I heard that. The kick pattern is a little different but equally as cool.
