It's amazing to watch JANETXX aircraft literally fall off radar when entering deep into the designated "Areas". If you ever get a chance to visit the ghost town of Bodie, CA, it's a fun explore as well. It's a little further north near Mono Lake. Another fun explore. Fun video. Thanks.

If I lived in that area and had the knowledge/technology that you do, I would be snooping around so much and absorbing all I could. Hope you make it back in the future and find some cool ideas to explore in the area.

Gabe, great video! I always wanted to go to Area 51 ever since I saw Bob Lazar (Dennis) on TV in 1989 saying he worked there on Alien Spacecraft! The scrabbled comms you're hearing at 4:56 is sometimes referred to as "Turkey Talk" in the Military.
@GB-rb1up Жыл бұрын
That signal at 4:55 reminds me of the alien comms picked up by a baby monitor in the movie "Signs".

We have one those Long Lines towers up here in north Jersey. You can take a part of the Appalachian trail right past the little bunker and see the old AT&T logo. I always thought it was an old phone tower. Crazy to think about the history behind those things.

Translation: A: Good morning! Man, everybody is worried bro! I was calling you early on without success, everyone was worried about "you", are you all right there? B: Positive, "you" are nuts! I think tomorrow I will be able to leave by half a day A: Oh god! It's a probation, isn't it? Well, cool then, it's gonna be fine! I'll give the news to the guys!

I love the Military comms. I remember being out exploring at the Death Valley Racetrack and an F16 fighter jet flew so close to the ground (map of the earth) that I waved at the pilot and he waved back. Slow and Low flyover. A friend of mine and I rented a room in a trailer for a night in Rachel in the mid/late 90's. It was almost summer, and if we cut the window AC unit on in the room, the lights flickered in the rest of the community. There was a dog hanging out at the small bar that would fetch rocks .Good times. Pretty sure I liked Rachel more than Vegas.

You should go to Roswell. You'll see all sorts of aircraft and they test missiles there. Odds are good that you won't see anything alien to our planet. I'm guessing that the odds are close to 100%. Still, it's a campy little city but has some great aircraft spotting. I bet there'd be some neat radio signals in the area but I didn't think to test when I have been there. Still, it's a fun little town and they turn the campy bits up to 11 for your enjoyment. I did a talk there once about the probability of alien life existing (I'm a mathematician). They were less happy to hear about the probabilities that alien life would ever come visit us. Part of my talk was received well.

In the 1980s and 90s when i was young I used to travel along IH-37 in south Texas between San Antonio and Corpus Christi and I remember the long line antennas along the freeway in a couple spots. I distinctly remember wondering what they were for, every single time i would ride by. It wasnt until maybe 10 years ago i stumbled upon their explanation. They were there until the late 90s or very early 2000s then the towers were repurposed for more modern communication/broadcast needs.

I stopped at one last year heading to Moab for diesel they had the price covered after a few gallons I knew something was wrong it was $9 a gallon 😮 the truck stop 20 miles away was only $4.89 I immediately stopped pumping, went to get my change and said they were not abducting my wallet today 👽😅 that could have cost me $300+ to fill my Ram that day they aren't called tourist traps for nothing.

@saveitforparts Жыл бұрын
Generally someone transmitting without a license, or in frequencies / power levels they aren't supposed to. CB licenses were always kind of a joke, and folks have been putting giant amplifiers on those for decades. Truck drivers in Brazil discovered their radios were pretty close to a US Navy satellite frequency, so they can relay signals through those with the right antenna. If you tried that in the US you'd get a government visit, but other countries don't care.

Canada had the equivalent of the AT&T long lines microwave network. The parabolic horn antennas got taken down 20 years ago, but the sites are usually still used--cell site, and our local one is what they call an FXP -- Fiber Exchange Point. The hill leading up to the site used to be used as a local toboggan run in the winter, but there were too many mishaps, and they fenced it off and closed it down :(
