I'm not sure if accurate tracking is impossible for a game which requires fast sudden movements. idk how they do tracking on Kinect though since the camera is quite accurate. I think they used shortcut when programming the movements because it's an annual series and available on so many platforms

@@utterqueernightmare I use handheld and the tracking is also bad. Not as bad as this though, but I remember missing the first two "yeah" movements in California Girls when doing it perfectly and getting the last one when I got distracted and wasn't doing the move right. It's depressing lol

All those interactions are intended by design. The game will never give you an absolute garbage score so you keep motivated and will keep playing, specially if it's your first time on JD(we all been there sis), however, getting a perfect score is way harder. Apart from that, the engine also detects if you are just sitting moving your arms only and will still give you a good score, this is also intended for people on wheelchairs.

The sitting part makes sense to me.. on Switch, you're only using controllers which don't exactly track the same way.. also... i know they want to be accessible for as many people as possible. Some people literally have to play in a chair or with less mobility and that's okay!
