Dave and Jeremy "mess" with Texas! On this episode of Nature In Your Face, we travel to the Lone Star State and visit the Texas towns, of San Antonio, Tilden and Austin, where we road cruise and hike the forested and desert habitats in search of snakes, tortoises, lizards, toads and arachnids! We encounter several "lifers" including the Texas tortoise, Texas horned lizard, western Coachwhip snake, Western rat snake, red-striped ribbon snake, flathead snake, arid land ribbon snake, Texas brown tarantula, striped bark scorpion and a surprise appearance by a nine banded armadillo! Shout out to the Texas rangers for helping us locate some of the rare species featured in this video!

You guys have the best lifer dance. I've got to get out to Texas. Nearly everything you found would have been a lifer for me.

Lots of awesome finds for what looked like a quick trip, I appreciate that you guys are so knowledgeable about all the wildlife you encounter whether it’s a herp or not. I didn’t know that gulf coast toads have spikes like that, that’s pretty dope looking. My favorite find has to be the Texas tortoise, such an underrated reptile. Good stuff gentlemen!

Thanks bros, we clearly were excited about the tortoises as well haha. We’re always looking to expand our knowledge about wildlife and we definitely prep for every trip with lots of research on what we might find. Obviously we geek out on reptiles but have a great appreciation for all life. Thanks for watching and showing some love in the comments!

Haha yea we get pretty goofy out in the field or just in life lol. The tortoises helped make that trip as we were extremely bummed about the indigo, but that just means we have to go back and try again. 👊🏼

@@NatureInYourFace Yep, someone up there messes with herpers. They probably get kickbacks for making us "come back" to certain destinations to find our "targets" from the airlines and gas stations.

Tell the truth. Y'all put those tortoises on the road and then acted surprised. Just kidding. Loved the nature flick, AGAIN. I hope my comment and tapping the thumbs up 👍 button feeds the algorithm monsters.
