When I look back at all the seasons especially since neymar left I realise how good messi actually was in all those seasons. It’s sad that he hasn’t won the ucl since 2015 but I still think 2017-18 and 2018-19 and even the season after he was so brilliant. He dribbled when necessary with tremendous consistency and his passing only improved because he was dropping back more because Barca were lacking creativity from mid. If you think messi hasn’t won ucl because he bottled it in crucial games I feel so sorry for you lot that don’t realise how good he actually was and how much he tried. I guess he’s just frustrated with how Barca is running as a club and he just feels like leaving because of it. I still think he wouldn’t leave like that but rather a very bold move to make change at the club (the board) But regardless let’s just enjoy him for a couple more years because when he retires that will be even more of a sad day for football lovers.
