Up next: A tutorial on how to safely remove a messy bun without damaging hair or having to cut the hair tie out? Anyone else have this struggle?

Kayla Arellano i do lol
@JadeTheLibra7 жыл бұрын
hahaha! I just pull the hair tie and slowly unravel the hair. I won't lie, sometimes I still get it tangled and have to take some scissors to my hair tie, but I'm going to try out the phone cord elastics as suggested and see if that helps!
@haileycollins9507 жыл бұрын
I agree with the phone cord elastics suggestions. I recently picked up a pack of them and I was worried they'd pull on my hair more because you can look at my hair and it tangles up but they just looked so neat and I had to try them hahah and they're the best hair ties I've ever used!

thanks! I just tried the third one and it worked like a charm (I didn't think it would). It's also not tight or heavy feeling so it probably won't give me a headache. Much appreciated.

YESSS!!! So stoked it worked out for you and you liked it! #3 is my favorite technique! It's surprising how secure the bun feels with just one hair tie --- it's magic!
@lilliearizona7 жыл бұрын
This video is why I am now subbed to you. I had no idea what I was doing wrong with my messy bun. I just knew it wasn't turning out. Now that hand/claw technique is something no one else does. And that is what helps hugely!!! Thank you!
@JadeTheLibra7 жыл бұрын
I love this so much!! I'm so stoked the good ol claw works for you too haha! Thank you so much for subbing and leaving feedback! Excited to have you here! 💕

This is so amazing... the claw thing may seem silly to some but it actually makes so much sense and I'm going to try this for sure! ☺️
@sarahwilliams97987 жыл бұрын
The third technique is so easy when you use those spiral type hair ties (that look like retail manager arm bracelet keychains). Those things are SO GOOD because your hair doesn't slip at all!

Best bun tutorial ever! Thank you so much sweetie because I have watched so many tutorials and everyone is super confusing it doesn't look right and I get so frustrated I give up. I absolutely love your Technique :-)

I absolutely love your videos!! I have a severe muscle disease that at times makes it difficult to lift my arms, however I tried all 3 of your messy buns. On a good day I can easily do the 2nd one, but by far the 3rd one would be my go to. Love love love 💙💚♥️

It's always a good day when Jade uploads! And thanks for this. I've always struggled with creating messy buns on my fine AF hair.
@JadeTheLibra7 жыл бұрын
Aw shucks, you're making me blush!! haha! Having fine AF hair ain't easy --- especially when it come to hair styles, so I feel your pain! Teasing my hair is literally the only thing that can help me, and if I don't use that damn powder play product my teasing falls out after 2 seconds hahaha whyyyyy!?!?!

I have super thick hair and have a hard time doing messy buns. Tried your third one and got it second try and it's beautiful! Only thing i did different was wetted my ends because they're ridiculous and don't work with me well. Thank you I love it!

How do you maintain the pretty color of your hair in between dyes? Mine is currently red and I have to use a color enhancer on it once a week or the color just falls right out. I really wanna try a pretty, vibrant blue or purple but pointers on keeping the color vibrant in between salon visits would be wonderful. Any insight? ☺️

what foundation do you use? i have very pale skin and i’m having a hella hard time finding the right one.
@JadeTheLibra7 жыл бұрын
I use It Cosmetics CC Cream in the shade Fair. It's the best neutral fair shade I've found and doesn't oxidize to a darker shade as you wear it which is a bonus. It seems like pale chicks get 2 options: straight up yellow or pink AF. The It Cosmetics one is a true pale neutral. Also, make sure you don't pick up the laminating one if you're really fair, because it's a tad darker than the original formulation. 🔮

Dumbest question ever...when you put in the bobby pins, where do you push them in to? The loop? Your scalp? Other parts of the bun? I have no idea how to do "elaborate" hair looks like this so I am very clueless. Love this video, and I subscribed!
@JadeTheLibra7 жыл бұрын
It's not a dumb question at all so no worries!! If the shape of my bun looks more floppy (like before I use the claw in technique #1) I slide the pins in where my fingers are (this could be in the loop, the scalp, or anywhere in the bun but you won't be able to see). You're basically attaching/securing the bun to your scalp area. So slide the bobby pin in where your finger is holding the bun and push the pin in a downward/diagonal direction so it will also go through the hair underneath the bun (scalp area). You'll know if you've done it right, because it should feel secure... If the pin didn't go deep enough, the bun will kid of float and be floppy still. For technique #2 and #3 I use the pins to secure any loose areas or areas that don't look quite right. If my bun is feeling loose or not secure or if there's a loose loop hanging down, I'll do something similar to the what I just mentioned where I find an area and stick the pin in at a downward diagonal motion, making sure to pin the bun down to the scalp area. Just go slow as to avoid poking your scalp too hard. Hopefully this helped you a bit. Let me know if you have any other questions. It takes some practice, but don't beat yourself up if it doesn't happen on the first try. It's a messy look, so definitely have fun with it! Also, there's no such thing as too many pins!!! When I first started doing messy buns, I'm pretty sure my whole bun was filled with pins to get it the way I wanted it haha! P.S. Thank you for subbing!! Stoked to have you here 💕
