Messy faces are my jam. I love them. I too use the back of the pencil and just sort of drag it in the vicinity of where the eye or nose belongs and let the pencil do the work. The Stabilo pencils are fantastic. They last a very long time BUT I use a hand sharpener rather than an electric sharpener so I don't grind it all away. I'm so glad that you mentioned the eyes and trying to get them perfect. I worked forever a couple of nights ago on a sketch and argggg, I thought the eyes would drive me nuts. Finally I just said, "You know what? You're not enjoying yourself, so to heck with it." I let go and it turned out pretty cool. Thanks for the tips. I love, love, love these!

I do the same technique, but I use fluid matte medium instead of water. It helps to seal the Stabilo so it doesn’t continue to activate if I want to add color on top or other water media. Love your loose girls! ❤️
