I have just found you and subscribed, and I’m enjoying your videos. My issue is, I have been practicing but I keep coming up with the biggest crew of sad sacks in Houston! How do I make more expressive, happier faces? Have you done a video on this and can you direct me to it?! Is it the eyes or the mouth that’s my problem? Both? I would love to see you draw different emotions and explain how you got there. Thanks again, having fun!

Jan Hawkes my girls tend to come out sad, but I don’t mind. If you tilt the eyes and mouths, it looks happier. Try doing with one or the other or both. 😊

I’m very new to drawing. I have a few pencils. You make drawing look like something I might be able to do. What are the pencils you use? Shade pencil. The very dark one and the one you draw with. I found a grid and laminated it. It’s a start. Thanks I feel hopeful.

Hi Christina! This video was posted a while ago, so I’m not sure which pencil I was using. But…I love 4B and 6B pencils. They are softer and much darker. Just play with the amount of pressure you use. ☺️ thank you!! Pamela
