This is so true there are so many Christians (including me) who are always thinking that they "don't have time for God today". Instead we need to represent God in everything we do and treat the Bible like it's our favorite book.

Being with God is just that - it's a way of life. It's way more than how much time I spend reading the Bible.

Dacew Ka I usually try not to make comments on youtube regarding religion. But seeing as how this is one of the main arguments atheists make, I will at least attempt to share my thoughts. The answer depends on your in depth view in certain areas of theoretical physics. It depends on what time exactly is. But in an over-simplified statement, I believe that God's perfect plan is sort of like destiny, The general direction where things are headed. And since God would be omniscient that would mean that he knows the outcome of all things to come. We still have our free will, but even before God created the world he knew every choice we would ever make.
@digigeek19
@digigeek19 10 жыл бұрын
I made a huge wall of text with an explanation, but then accidentally hit cancel instead of post... Anyways In short what I said was that we still do have free will, god doesn't plan our lives but tries to manipulate our situation and options in hopes that we follow his will, which I am not even going to attempt to say I fully understand. I also said that by this standard: "And no, Free Will doesn't work as well if you can predict it" That means that you have resigned yourself to not having free will because most humans can in general predict your life. And that's not even considering neural patterns. Truth be told, believing in a god is the only way to actually rationalize having free will. In short, your choices are your own. Im sure a lot of people can explain this better than me but this is my opinion.
@digigeek19

Well, I tried to explain, But I'm obviously not going to change your mind. But I thank you because you made me think for a while.

Wow, I was going to post a comment about 2:33 before I got to that. Awesome job covering everything! It makes me feel good to see a Christian on the internet... Also, if I may add, it doesn't matter how often you read the Bible, it just matters whether or not you believe in Jesus, the Father, and the Holy Spirit, and a few other things. But, it is great to read the Bible often, but don't keep track of it.

I have just made the decision to give my life 100% to God after going to the dare to share conference this weekend and I told myself there that I would give 15 minutes every night to God and read the Bible. 15 MINUTES THE GOD OF THE UNIVERSE! Redstone Pro The heavens declare the glory of God. Your own body is evidence, have you ever studied the human body? It is nonsense to tell me that with all the complexity of my cells and DNA as well as every single thing in this world, that I came from a fish. Many parts of the human cannot function when altered, so they could not have evolved. This is merely the tip of the iceberg, dear sir.

Yeah, this video was directed toward other Christians. Learning and coming to believe in God's existence is a personal journey. Not to say he couldn't make a video like that, or that it wouldn't help people. But it isn't really their responsibility.

***** Oh yeah? Show me how. He pretty much stated that being Christian should be a RELATIONSHIP with God rather than just going religious rituals. Why do you think God hated offerings? He didn't care that the Jews gave him offerings because they weren't truly sorry for the sins they committed. I believe that Jesus is my friend, not a badge that I wear around to make people think I'm holy. *end of rant*

More than we realize, this is really true! As he said, spend an easy 3 hours on the internet/phone, and nearly can't stay awake through a 30 minute prayer meeting. Read a fiction book about something that never happened and finish it in an hour..read one chapter of the Bible and it takes all you have to stay focused. I'm defenitely taking this to heart and trying to do better! Thanks BlimeyCow!

I feel convicted right now. God use to be everything in my life and then I wanted to "do more with my time." I don't know why, because I'm not as happy now as I was when I spent every waking moment trying to use what God gave me for good and always making him the center of my life. Life is so much easier when I can use what I read in the Bible to help me with whatever I'm going through and when I have something better then anything on Earth that's there for me whenever I ask for him to be.

"I want people to realize God and His centrality. It is not us putting Him at the center, He is already there. We must put ourselves onto that reality." -KB (Reach Records artist). I will add to this by saying its impossible for us to say whether God is or isn't the center of our lives, or to decide whether or not He is #1 in our lives. We don't have the kind of power or authority over God to decide where He goes. As he said, we must put ourselves onto that reality that He already is.
