If I heard correctly, & she did in fact refuse a urine test, it’s obvious because she would have tested positive as meth typically only remains in one’s urine for several days possibly up to a week. I loved and lost someone with addiction, I have LIVED and am grateful to be almost 5 years into my own journey into Recovery…There is NO CURE! Everyday is a fight, TODAY I have the opportunity and a CHOICE to REMAIN sober. My hope is that all addicts in active, even in “dry” addiction, seek and get help. You DESERVE to live, you deserve life, you deserve to be loved, most of all you deserve to LOVE YOURSELF. You cannot care, love, protect and provide for anyone, let alone a CHILD, a BABY, if you cannot even do the same for yourself. Please DO NOT put your children through this! You do you, your children had no choice, they did not ask to be born or to be held hostage into your MESS of a life, fix your shit, then FIGHT for your rights to be back into your Child(ren) lives. “If it is to be, it’s up to me”

I know these attorneys have a job to do but it's such a waste of time when they ask these stupid questions like "so you don't know if he got the messages about having to take these drug screens" 😒 If they wanted their baby back they wouldn't be so hard to reach, it's so ridiculous.

Because at some point in the past, at least one defense attorney was able to use that excuse to avoid accountability for their client. Sort of makes me think of the whole 'custodian of records' line of questioning. Like, he/she has the case file or is the actual worker, so they have the info whether they are technically 'custodian' or not.

The baby went to a woman, not a couple. She was sitting in both hearings. Her name is Chrissa Bowles and in the second hearing you can see pictures of the baby in the background. She's a very happy healthy little girl living a great life with her Mom and brother. .

Your snarky comments are annoying. These are incredibly sad proceedings. As someone who appears for parents in these situations, i can tell you that most parents do not want to harm their children. The attorney is asking re the future because the bio mother would like to be in the childs life if she can get sober. She has already agreed to the termination. Shes not asking for the child to be returned to her. All parties in these cases want what is best for the families and often, even when a child is adopted, having the bio parents involved can be a wonderful thing. So asking about the future isnt stupid. Have a bit of compassion ffs. Father is a bit of a twat though.

to terminate her rights in case she changed her mind about relinquishing them, which she obviously did by not signing papers or showing up. There still has to be a paper trail for the courts

If she signed the relinquishment in a timely manner, they would have put that on as testimony and judge accept it to not waste additional time and resources. Due to it not being completed yet, they’re drudging up reason for removal/progress. I can’t say I blame her, I’m sure she knows what is best but also, this baby is 9 months old 🥹 usually parents get 12 months or more IF they are doing and working their plan.

She could've easily avoiding a full year's worth of hearings had she just relinquished her at any time. Baby and her actual Mom (who has her 100% now) wouldn't have been put through a year of this B.S. She admitted she chose the drugs over her child but couldn't be bothered to simply sign the papers. Pathetic!

The purpose of the hearing was not to “kick her while she’s down”, JFC, she did that to herself. The purpose is to make sure the mothers rights are not violated and that the removal is done legally. It’s is to give her one last chance to do something, anything to show the court that she wants her child back. Would you prefer that the court violate her due process rights, in order not to hurt her feelings? I mean, if that’s what you want, they should have just removed the baby from her at the hospital. That would have spared her from feeling down at all! God forbid a mother who abused and neglected her baby should feel BAD about what she’s done! WTF. What’s wrong with you?
