my husband died at same age. left me with a 6 month old boy and 5 year old daughter. its been 37 years now. I still miss him every day and yes he was a good man. but we were both caught up in that dark road of drugs. lord kept putting people in my life to help me along. I did remarry but it was never the same. Divorced since 2001. But now I've turned my life over to christ. Even though I turned my back on him for awhile. I now know he kept me going cause he wanted me back. I know I'll meet him in heaven.

Brother, I left so many of my brothers in Iraq and Afghanistan, I carry them everyday, they do die young, and somehow, I was allowed to make it back here. It took me a long time to make peace with it, and almost lost my life a few times trying to make peace with it, but I am a representative of my brothers, when people see me, they see my brothers so I had to get myself right for them. I miss them everyday. Amazing song bro.
@Gutslinger3 жыл бұрын
Couldn't imagine how heavy that experience is like. Glad you're pulling through. My oldest brother served 3 tours in Iraq. He ended up passing 5 years ago at the age of 36, from seizure related problems that he started having after he came back. I unfortunately never got to rekindle with him, since before he went to boot camp. Then 3 months after he passed, I experienced a seizure, myself. Had deteriorating health and crippling anxiety ever since. Life sure is hard.
@hatfieldmccoy03113 жыл бұрын
@@Gutslinger my brother I started having seizures myself after I came back from my last one, had 4 or 5 major ones out in public, he may have had Traumatic Brain Injury, or may be something genetic from the way it sounds. Life is hard, but man it is a beautiful thing if we learn to look at those hard times as lessons and use them to grow from them. When I came back home after all that, man I went years without talking to my family, I put a pack on my back, grabbed my bow and my dog and took off walking. Didn't know what I needed but after the 5 attempts at suicide that for some reason never worked, only way I can explain it is God intervening, I had to find what I needed. I walked 830 miles through the mountains where I am from to Southern Georgia. Then took off to Montana, then back packed the entire west coast, from Washington State to the Grand Canyon. The entire time, I replayed everything I had experienced over there. I came to peace with alot, there are some things, I can't figure out still, but I keep telling myself those things, a man isn't meant to understand while on this Earth, I am hoping when I make it to the other side, I will finally be able to understand and have total peace in my soul there. Sounds like your brother had experiences like I did over there, and though you may not have got to get close to him after him coming home, it may be better that you have the old way of remembering him better, and for us it is a sad way for us to see it this way, buy his war is over, he isn't carrying that weight on him any more. Sure if your brother was anything like you, he was a hell of a man. Just reading the little you shared I can tell you are a solid guy. Thank you brother.

Damn super sorry for your loss. If you don’t want to answer no big deal but I’m just genuinely curious, you happened to loose both parents to murder and at different times?

@@2491kridge very long story but I'll sum it up as short as possible. My dad picked my sister up from work with her 1 year old n 2 year old. two of her ex husbands friends were hiding in the house with swords 3-4 foot long ones. They unscrewed the lightbulbs. My sister walked in with the oldest in her arm and my dad walked In with the youngest still in the car seat. Lights wouldn't turn on so my dad went n tried checking the bulbs. The two friends of her ex husbands jumped out and started attacking my sister and dad. My dad was stabbed over 24 times. My sister was stabbed 3 times. She is permanently in a wheel chair now and struggles with traumatic brain injury. The sword went into the back of her head and out the other side. 8 months later my mom's husband stranged her to death and left her dead on the couch for my poor 7 year old brother to find. *Side note- my parents were divorced and had been for a long time.

@Mesus...I'm terminally ill from lymphoma and am in hospice care preparing to go to our true home, heaven. I'm 40. I wont get older than this. During the last 6 months I've been listening to all your songs on repeat. Your music has gotten me through my darkest days. Thank you for this song, and keeping them all real and genuine ...I'm dying alone ,,, or so I thought. Mesus ..I'm not dying alone I'm dying with you as my strength i love you. Keep going brother. I'm an example of what. Kind of impact you are making in people's life.. May I use this song on my funeral track? Your Anon sister-Addy LoneWolf
