I feel like some of the themes from past years have been very vague and open to much interpretation. I thought that this year's theme was pretty easy, yet, I agree, so many missed the mark. In the end it is just fashion and should be fun.

First, I am so enjoying your videos every Saturday. Welcome back. Second, while there were some beautiful looks, I feel like this year’s gala theme was ignored by most. Maybe they took gilded to mean gold instead of the period era? Very few structured gowns that evoke the very specific ideas of that time. I didn’t much care for Billie Eilish’s dress, but she nailed the theme, SJP pulled off a more modern interpretation of it, as did Nicola Coughlin. Kris Jenner hit the gilded/gold definition but not the theme (but was, I agree, stunning). I feel like the last few years have gotten away from the theme and moved to more of a fashion-Oscars night. That said, I still love to see the photos. Thoughts?

I think the themes from the recent past (camp, for example) have been very vague and open to interpretation. This year I thought the theme was super easy, but, people still were off theme. Oh, well, it is just fashion and should be fun.

What a beautiful palette! Shadows seem to go on so easily. As I am aging and now working from home, most of the days I don’t even wear eyeshadows so I don’t buy them anymore. 😬🙂 Hiding redness, mascara, blush and lips is all I do. I destashed all my dark lipsticks and use mostly glosses… my makeup routine took a turn! 🙂 Have a nice weekend! ☀️

Loved this idea! I really enjoy the Anastasia of Beverly Hills eye primer. It takes VERY little. Even a pinhead size for both eyes is plenty.

It was reported in British press she didnt get in to Monroe's dress well - the back could not be zipped - hence the shawl around her to cover the 'open' back xx

Actually, the dress was so tight, that Monroe had to be sewn into the dress.

Well I know one ytuber that seen a video where the ytuber blush went bad and so after she seen that video, she literally did a video of THROWING OUT ALL HER HIGH END AND DRUGSTORE MAKEUP!! I was like omg , I check my makeup everyday to see if anything has expired lol love the eye look so beautiful and glam

Marilyn Monroe was supposed to be a british size 16? I'm british and that is quite big, so Kim is not that slim and she couldn't fit in it.

What I have read, is that Marilyn had to be sewn into this dress because it was so tight!
