This move by Mark Zuckerberg is an extreme over-correction to what he states, essentially,“we don’t want people who believe all masculinity is toxic”(paraphrased), but we shouldn’t completely remove DEI… DEI could’ve remained but it could have some improvements-the entire point of it is to value a diverse workforce that has demonstrated in peer-reviewed research to drive innovation by encouraging employees to think divergently - of course, we shouldn’t just hire someone who is not qualified at ALL (Where DEI should be improved), but if they are qualified and a diverse candidate there should be an extra effort in at least getting their resume reviewed. We literally are still in a time where people judge your resume/CV based on the type of name you have and if it sounds too “ethnic”. Lastly, if you’re a white American and you think removing DEI is going to give you your tech jobs back; think again, there are so many international Indian and Chinese tech workers who are superior in STEM and willing to take far less pay. I’m in tech and honestly I’m surprised of the lack of diversity even with White Americans

The fact that we even need a diversity program sounds like tolerating or dealing with unwanted select problems. Similar to the term minority. I get the whole resources thing but to me thats a horrible term especially as a black man idk. do you know how that sounds? Someone walks up to you " what are you?" " Im a minority" like we some deer or polar bear on the verge of extinction 😂.

People of color are in fact not the majority population and black people are an even smaller subset, currently trailing well behind in population than other non-whire counterparts - there are less of us here in America than Latinos now...did you know that?
