If you guys are not running the nimble variant, depending on the list, you can summon another disruption instead for combo 2. In the Diva version, I like summoning carrot to have a pseudo-herald, etc.

Awesome deck profile! I have been testing a few different Spright builds and I agree with using the Nimble engine. One question though: Angler only gets effect when dumped from hand or deck, why summon it off the beaver then? Seems like Angler has more value as a foolish target or discard for Swap Frog SS.

Here's the math: > You run 2 copies, Angler can only resolve once. > If you have another copy of Beaver, you can summon it and still get a 2nd beaver effect from the deck. after using the 1st beaver If you need bodies to extend. and you can retrieve the angler from the GY via Toad, and summon swap from Elf, bounce and do a double summon play without committing a normal summon. Theres good pathing.

Hop squadron is a nice addition, I also like yamatako orochi which you can specials using deep sea diva and go into baron before comitting into gigantic/elf. cross out is also really good but I'm only using two + clbg just because I rather have a spot for either another imperm or ogre, and kinda unsure about prosperity. For extra deck, two toadally is too much I think since you can use elf , instead i probably using underworld goddess you won't summon her often but when you do it really get the jobs done.

@@CosmicColdBrew I'm not saying that its the best play but its just funny to me that I can input baronne in spright, and you can always use blue/jet after using their effect since you always called them before committing into gigantic and not losing any extender, I usually end up with elf, gigantic (usually with catshark), baronne, and carrot or red.

I just played against a friend of mine who used Splight Frogs. Dark Ruler no More just ends the deck. I never had so much fun breaking someone's board in a long time.

I think it's just wrong to not play manequin cat. It's tripple toadally and can summon barrier statue of water against any needlefiber deck.

U are not wrong, mannequin cat is a very powerful monster and was in the list. It's a really good monster too in mirror matches or follow up if toad gets crowed. But I had to cut 1. It was either downerd or mannequin since one still dies to dark ruler.. I went with Mannequin.

Great overview of the Spright Deck :)I have a diferent list. I'll try to play Solemn Judgment and Anti-Spell Fragrance in the maindeck, as a protection against going second cards. Also I play Catshark + Daigusto Phoenix for OTK and Avramax to summon with IP:Masquerena.

I had thought about that hop ear squadron into herald tech as well (I was trying to figure out ways to beat tearelements and herald kept popping into mind for the macro effect, so I tried to think of ways to make it on the opponents turn to get around dark ruler). My first thought for that line was plaguespreader into halq into formula synchron to go into it, but that still loses to dark ruler as well as many hand traps. I'm playing a completely different variant of splight and it's a lot of fun. slightly less consistent, but the end boards are very nasty (up to 4 omni negates + macro cosmos floodgate from herald + possible monster or spell/trap negate and a battle magnet). still gets mostly beaten by dark ruler, but they gotta have that or a discard almost their entire hand for droplets to beat the board.

Do you not brick often with the angler? Your only means of discarding it is with swap frog

Angler funny enough is really good even in hand when doing a frog combo. Consider bouncing your own swap frog back to your hand. And resummmon with angler. Now u have an extra rank 2. Or IP

@@MSTTV i'll test it out of course before I judge it but I don't like the idea of running cards that aren't capable of starting/extending your plays by itself, i'm even iffy on running dupe frog for that reason. You can't send it from hand to GY with swap frog if your gigantic spright gets stopped - which is more likely to happen when u have a dead angler in hand

@@invertbrid well basically u r right, but still, going for red first is a safer call, as gigantic is vulnerable to veiler ash and ogre (since detaching isnt the cost and thus, u cant resolve the rest of the effect)

Why not? Gigantic Spright only locks both players during the turn it used its effect. Hop Ear Squadron is summoned during opponent's Main Phase which Gigantic's lock is no longer applying, so you can definitely synchro into the level 4 Herald.

What were the pros and cons of running a copy of Iblee in the main deck? It seems like it can turn end Branded Despia since they don't run any links and have no 1 monster tributes, and even in Swordsoul unless then open Longyuan to tribute.

The cons are when you use it it limits you as well because you lose access to Swap Frog unless you opened with it in your hand. Against certain decks like Despia it pretty much stops them from playing, but it still prevents you from going full combo. It’s a decent side deck card though

Basically sum Gale (lv2) from gigan, pay 3k send Apkallone dis 1 to search schism, basically u got winda in your opponent turn Edit: Highly Effective as this play provides a way to sustain your board if your opponent wastes a DRNM or Droplet on Link2/Toad/I:P, you can still activate schism after that, banish apkallone and gale to sum WInda
