I'm from Italy and my cousin is melbournian. I've never been there, but this wonderful technology is the closest thing to flying freely anywhere! I can now pay him a "visit" him in Melbourne!

Seems like this would work better if it was run on a computer and connect to the headset via a remote app of some sort, like virtual desktop?

Maybe. Since I shot this, the app has been updated and now there's a once-off authorisation process with Google that is required before it works. I've not got around to doing that yet, but it's a bit of a pain. However, the reason is that Google have been charging the developer for excessive use of their systems, because Google thinks all of us users are actually the developer. So I can see why he's had to make the change.

Hi, sorry, i see the surface of the Earth ,i write my destination but i don't see my city in 3d! I play in single player. Where am i going wrong? Does it work all over the world? Thank you very much!

Google Earth only provides 3D data for some parts of the world, sorry! And it seems quite random. My video shows a new suburb at the edge of Melbourne in 3D but some equivalent areas of London are not in 3D. Strange!
