I mean Meta doesn't lie as much as Google or other companies did and Quest line is an awesome device for the price that not even anything with similar price range and has as much features. The only real downside is not enougj app support compared to pc and smartphone

The differences are pretty big I honestly think that in any case you should buy the quest 3 over the quest 2.

I’ll give you my take on it. The Q3 gives the white stripe glitch when using link cable which is a USB type c cable. Sometimes it also does it in standalone. I found to be very annoying that I immediately returned it after talking with support. I think the Q3 has some quality control issues that they need to work on. For now I would hold off for now.

Huh. No white stripe glitch on my unit. But at least you returned it. I really like mine and haven't had any weird problems with it. Battery life I've dealt with. Passthrough warping I can't do anything about... they will need to software update that issue I suppose. Passthrough graineness is a bummer, but in good lighting (florescent seem good) it is VERY acceptable (to me) for how little I use it. What I don't get about the Passthrough graineness is why it's not there in the recordings. Maybe a software fix for that too, I don't know.

I got a Quest 3 a couple days ago. I like it alright. It's a toss up between the Quest 3 and HP Reverb G2 for PCVR. I may switch to the Quest 3 for a while in PCVR after my BOBOVR M3 Pro arrives. I guess I was lucky and didn't get one with any dead pixels, and no stripe issues. The microphone isn't too bad but you can easily blow on it to get popping since it's so close to the middle.

They might fix the glitches by then. I did try VRC with link cable and it started doing the white stripe after 5 mins. My pc is storng the reason is due to the software.

I have lost tracking more times than on my Pro. I tapped the side of the headset and took it off for a short time. I came back put it on and lost tracking of controllers and hands. There was a dot that would move when I looked around at which point I had to do a hard shut down and put it back on the charger and wait. This has happened a lot.

The pro has self tracking controllers, since u have them u can also use them with the quest 3 and 2

No offense intended, but this does not read like a review, but rather a marketing video or glorified advertisement. Nothing wrong with listing the features of the product, but the descriptions are full of hyperbole. Reviews don't necessarily need to be negative or harsh, but should include some criticism or critical evaluations of these features. After "100 hrs" I would expect to hear some of the reviewers actual opinions and experiences. Mentioning at the end that the Mixed Reality needs room for improvement isn't enough of a critique to justify this as a review.

Well I understand what you mean. I personally was happily surprised by the meta quest 3 and that is why this review might sound more overall positive compared to my other or other vr headset reviews out there. Honestly there are always small things that could have been much better but honestly I think they were too small to even mention compared to the pro features.
