@@nathie I work with 3D, so I want to try building some projects using it. I saw that there are some apps for that. I did a long research. In addition, I want to use it a lot for web browsing, I sold a 2018 MacBook that I used to answer some emails and do UI/UX projects in figma, to buy the meta quest 3s. The Quest 3s is 120% faster than my old 2018 MacBook. In other words, now whenever I go to work on the street, in shop cafes, I'll use meta quest. I would even love to see some of your content using vr outside. But please be careful with the cars 😅

$299 for the Quest 3S is a great price, incredible value and excellent for people new to VR. Standardising the XR2 Gen2 Chipset and the Controllers is so smart, Game & App devs know exactly what they're working with now for the next 5 years. My hope though is that a year from now Meta comes out and offers the Quest 3S for $199. $199 is 'JUST' within the 'Special but Affordable' Christmas or Birthday present from Family. That price would MASSIVELY increase the number of VR users. It would start the next evolution of VR.

@@g1llifer Well it MIGHT be possible, I mean the Quest 3 RRP was dropped $150 recently with an quadruple increases in Storage space to go along with it. And they've already admitted they were losing money on the headset at that full RRP with only 128GB of Storage. AND during the Black Friday sales big retailers like Target/Amazon someone else were offering $75 Gift Cards (Target/Amazon Gift Cards not Meta ones) so in a way the 'effective' price of those Quest 3S to Amazon/Target were $225 (I know it's a bit more complicated than that but you get my point). Nintendo used to sell the 3DS at $249 and they sold like 75 million of those and most parents would have no interest in using them where as Quest has Beat Saber/Exercise/Dance games plus KZbin/Netflix/All the other Streaming Services and now it has Windows 11 Integration as standard plus works as a PCVR device so it has appeal to everybody in the family not just the kids or the parents. Maybe $249 is a more realistic price drop but $199 would be an amount that a LOT of people would look at and go 'Fuc& it that's how much 10" Tablet goes for these days.'

I upgraded from the Quest 2 to the 3S two weeks ago and have been trying it out on both native and PCVR games. I really like the new Quest 3 controllers and the passthrough button but besides that its honestly not a big enough upgrade for me to recommend Quest 2 owners to make the jump. Also my Quest 2 elite headstrap doesn't fit the 3S so I'm forced to buy another strap/battery pack which is really annoying. The only reason I bought it was to be able to play the new Arkham which is a ton of fun but I'm also curious how many new titles will be Quest 3/3S only or if this was a good marketing tactic.

Bought my Quest 3 on oct. 12th and receiving it on the 17th. REALLY excited to try out the new Batman game and watch a movie in a cinema! Thanks to your videos, I never knew before that the quest 3 was comparable to Apple Vision Pro at a lower scale of course. Just don’t have the money to buy a Vision Pro.

Ive been wanting to upgrade from the 2 to the 3 but the 3s is a decent price. The only thing is the lenses i do not really like how the 2 lenses only have a small sweet spot as others call it. Does the 3 have a larger fov and sweet spot? That would be my only reason for not just getting the 3s, me and my girlfriend are not fans of how the 2 starts to hurt your eyes after a while

Quest 3S is perfect for new VR users. Quest 3 is what i would recommend for someone upgrading from Quest 2

The quest 3 is almost double the price. I'm not sure if the slight improvements with the lenses is worth it. I have a quest 2 and might just pick up a 3S. Mainly just getting it for Batman, Alien and a few other games

Your best bet is wireless headphones you get get a good pair for cheap but the audio is quite good on the headset itself and has a built in microphone

First of Zero Reason to get Quest 2. The Real question is for $200 more how much more do you get. Better Resolution on the Quest 3 over 3S and Headset is smaller. That is basically it.. If you are Ok with Quest 2 Resolution with a Higher Refresh Rate the 3S is best option since Performance is on par with Quest 3 since Processor, Ram, Color Passthrough are exactly same.
