Meta Quest v65 Update, Batman: Arkham Shadow Exclusive to Quest 3 Met with Outrage

While editing this video Meta released a patch for v65 bringing the long-awaited Travel Mode feature to Quest. However, this feature is only available for Quest 2 & 3. You can find this under the experimental settings tab and allows you to play while traveling on a airplane. QPro users:

Exclusivity doesn't bother me. Timed exclusives are a good way to handle it. Do people complain that Mario titles are permanently exclusive to Nintendo or GTA is exclusive to PlayStation? Get over it. This is how has always been.

Worth noting is that v65 only enables "playback" of spatial videos from any iPhone. Not capture, that remains possible only on the 15 Pro and Pro Max

I'm on PTC V65 and still no ability to upload panorama. IOS 16.4 and iphone 15 pro max. So I don't get it.

My bug is Ben not Ben able to reproduce videos I recorded but I just sync then to the app.

I did get this bug as well after publishing this video, but restarting the headset fixed the issue for me.

My only hope that reason Batman will be exclusive on quest 3 is not beacause game have bad optimisation. Iron man is pretty good game, but hell it has stutters + ASW((

But, I think it should be interesting to see what we'll get with optimization. It's a first-party studio making an exclusive to the Quest platform. Whether they'll resort to AppSW or not should be a tell-all for what we should expect going forward to what counts as a AAA title on Quest. Not all frames are created equal and some games are stutter fest, but Camoflaj if you watched the developer series in making of Iron Man VR is focused on the small details to make the experience better.

bruh i actully like asguards wrath and thats a huge open world, i wonder how they would handle a city full of people in a dark atmosphere, its gonna be like i hope its like AC nexus Meets Asguards wrath

If quest 2 can handle asgard wrath so it will be good for quest 3 to handle arkham shadow

honestly this all just kind of sucks because I just got a meta Quest too and now I need to save up for three by saving up $500 along with saving up $500 to buy a PS5. kinda sucks 😂😂😂. either way I hope they do this Arkham game Justice because the last Arkham game Suicide Squad kind of ruined Arkham Batman 😂😂

I really want Meta to eventually do a trade in program so older Quest users can upgrade for less. Since, Meta Quest is an android device that uses the APK system I wouldn't be surprised if you see someone make it compatible for older devices. Beat Saber was ported over to Pico 4 to run natively. It'll just take it hit on the resolution and you'll just have to hope someone generous enough shares it with everyone else.
