As someone who speaks English and Spanish, I can tell that the quality of the translation into both languages is shit.

I wonder if they used DeepL ai it would be better? It has the ability at the paid level to translate into multiple different dialects. I've used it before in business settings and its actually amazing.

Many overlook that this feature is primarily intended for individuals who have no other means of communication with speakers of foreign languages. This is particularly beneficial for travelers who do not speak the local language. For instance, if you were in China and needed to converse with someone locally, this technology would undoubtedly be advantageous. Technology is evolving swiftly, and it is only a matter of time before these tools achieve near perfection, as has been demonstrated by some of the more established AI technologies.

lol I love the backseat trash pandas in here as if innovation doesn’t take time. This is fantastic progress and will help connect the world. It takes time and I’m here for it. Especially as a one language American. There are so many wonderful people in the world and we just have a language barrier. If you’re upset about the current state then you should develop your own and see how it goes 😊 cheers to all the foreigners who were nice to me while I was barely speaking their language

The point of evolving tech is all for the sake of minimizing time and increasing convenience...to each their own, but all that time studying and taking tests or internalizing could be spent on other things like traveling / quality time with friends and family or self fulfilling hobbies. And if learning a language is an enjoyable hobby for you, then there there you go..u can use tech for other things
