Militaries were able to read everyones memories remotely about 16 years ago. I agreed to telepathic technology in 2009 by help from Royals. Its a lot more advanced than any single person can imagine.

There is an Australian patent for Synthetic Telepathy (non invasive and wireless) that was submitted in 2005... So how far have we come in 20 years since then (while hiding it from the masses???)
