I also want such a saw) True, I already have the usual 18-volt and 36-volt saws. The 36-volt one is in the box, I only made a couple of cuts) It’s a pity that the 4 Ah battery that comes with it is not sent by air.

I don't see Metabo much on shelves of hardware stores in my area of AZ but that thing seems pretty real solid. I like the rear handle over my 60v Dewalt regular handle placement. Wonder if they make it with blade on right hand side. Thanks for showing, Brother. Keep the videos coming.

Hey brother glad to see you in the comments and like always great vibes .. I have a few of blade right saws I just love blade left rear Handel it just does it for me .. lots of different angles that just feel better to me as the user

@@ovi1013 I hear you on the blade side preference. I'm left/wrong-handed and like to see the blade scamper along the chalk line as it cuts. Preference goes a good ways with all those companies and options available.

@@andyprairiedog I’m sure I’ve seen side winder worm drive skil saws being used maybe the essential craftsman had one? It was corded though. I’ve not seen any battery operated ones.

Thanks for the nice vid. Did it come with a carry bag? Btw, the 2.5-amp batteries have the 18650 cells, while the 4-amp ones have the 21700 cells. It's still a beast, either way! 👊

Where's the tool storage on the old worm drive? I got the 36v, I'm just wondering if there's some secret storage spot that I'm not finding

Yeah it’s not to bad I already made cuts with it and it runs just fine and as far as better than the Milwaukee well as much as I hate to say it it feels better but I own them both .. but wow the lightness of this saw is wild

@texastoolvault im in the market for a rear handle, im between this metabo hpt, flex rear handle or the makita xgt rear handle. Which if these do u orefer if u had to pick one. Your advice would be greatly appreciated thank u
@ovi10132 жыл бұрын
Tell me a bit more pls .. like where you would be using it more often.. on roofs hanging off ladders or a bench saw mostly.. for above head work on roofs metabo for the weight .. battery platform the xgt is one you will have to get used to 40v is expensive.. but it’s a great saw I carry it daily in my truck it’s weight is in between both saws.. if it’s a bench only application the best is flex
@247Combat2 жыл бұрын
@texastoolvault thank u for the response. Im jus a dyi guy who deos alot of projects and just wants the best equipment. Mostly bench cuts. Curious if you have tried the 3.5 lithium stacked on the flex, wouldnt that nring the weight down to about the same or better then the makita with the 4 ah battery? I feel like most these saws bare tool are around the 10lb mark then really depends on the battery used for overall weight. Most of these saws come with 4-5ah batteries is that so they can claim its a lighter saw?
@ovi10132 жыл бұрын
@@247Combat you can run any battery on the flex just going to depend on your cuts and that’s what run time will be .. I like running the 5.0 on the flex tbh it’s perfect balance

I got this saw a couple weeks ago and havny used it till today. Been using the sidewinder 36v and have been waiting for the right time to use the new rear handle thinking id love it cuz it has 800 more rpm than the sidewinder.... it sucks honestly. Major dissapointment. The sidewinder has 4300 rpm the rear handle has 5100 and youd think its the othet way around. The sidewinder hardly bogs the rearhandle seems like it really stuggles. Both had the same exact new spyder blade. This saw sucks. Its lightweight at least and will get the job done but there are much better options for rear handles. I have the makita 36v rear handle and theyre not even in the same ballpart in terms of ease of use/power. People seem to either love or hate the metabo hpt rear handle and i was not impressed at all. Stick with the sidewinder. Seems to have better torque
