Bowie created the most magnificent, magical and original canon of work in the history of popular music. Part of the strings come courtesy of Rick Wakeman on a mellotron swamped in reverb.

All the metal bands and heavy rock musicians I've worked with, all know "The Man who sold the world" , "Ziggy Stardust" "Aladdin Sane" and " Diamond Dogs " Albums. Great songs influential albums with the guitar of the legendary Mick Ronson on most. Great reaction by the way .
Would love to see more of Bowie reactions. You provided some great insights on this song for me, thank you.

I also like the way you talk about choices. Part of what makes this and other quality music from this era so special is its little imperfections where compromises were made

my own personal take on this song's story line is that Major Tom wasn't all that eager or willing to go up on this mission, and when mysterious circumstances then take place and his communications are lost, Major Tom just resigns himself to the fact that 'oh well, I'm lost forever now...' and it's so sad. The way the music is mixed and produced, particularly throughout the outro tends to make the listener feel like they too, just like Major Tom himself, is hopelessly drifting away in space to oblivion and it is quite creepy. Love this song, and David Bowie was in fact one of a kind that we'll surely miss. Excellent reaction/response to the video Biker Dude... love your channel...keep it up and cheers!

Of course he resigns himself to that fact. You can't alter your trajectory significantly once you blast off most of your fuel. And what I mean by that is... You can't un-take that dose of heroin. Yes. I'm from the "it's a drug metaphor" crowd. You knew it was a bit too much, but you were aching and shaking at the moment, so you didn't care. And now you're starting to feel off. You shot for the moon, but you missed, so now you'll probably end up among the stars. In eternity. Dead, I mean. You're headed for a massive overdose and there's nothing you can do to change that, so just ride it out to its inevitable conclusion. Float around your tin can. You can't change anything. No matter what you do, the planet Earth is blue. And so will you be in the morning. But for now, you're higher than Michael 'Lonely Man' Collins was during the Apollo 11 mission. Experience it. No reason to let it go to waste. Death... It's a... Once in a lifetime experience.

This song is not about "outer Space" - at all. It is about "inner Space" and the descent of a person into drug addiction - listen again, with these facts in mind, and realise why this truly is one of the best songs of all time...

I have been watching a couple of your reaction videos and I have a recommendation for you, react to Hi This Is Flume- Flume. It is electronic music and i know that you said you couldn’t do it in an earlier video but Flumes production and sound design is some of the best I have ever heard. Headphones is a must. I would love to see you give that a listen and hear your reaction to it!

I always just dug a song. I never really got too deep into the meaning. We were just partying and yeah we got it, but didn't get to heavy about it. It was about the vibe.

I would love to see you react to a metal band called Every Time I Die's album called The Big Dirty. If I just had to pick a couple songs, No Son Of Mine, Pigs is Pigs and Imitation is the Sincerest Form of Flattery are some stand outs but the whole album is beyond amazing. Love your work, thank you.

Possibly the only good use of a stylephone ever on a record.. Makes you realise that producers and sound engineers had it licked in the 60s/70s..nice review 👍

I hope u see this I'm glad I didn't skip this time your reaction on EMs MMLP, I really love it that you get it, you are real 👍 I wanted to introduce you to NF but I see you checked him on Therapy Session. Please react to the Clouds the mix tape (it is a disconnect he flexes there and has 2 ft with Tech and Hop) Then check his albums in order (important to find what he is about) the versatily and talent, besides I have a strong feeling you being a producer will love his beats, they are cinematic it's really a breath of fresh air in Hip-Hop Mansion 2015, Therapy session 2016, Perception 2017, The search 2019 As EM is your generation (and we grew on EM) NF is ours (the 90s kids) - and in time he will become huge, he really deserves his flowers Cheers

Not sure if you will get this as I've only just seen your reaction. I am in my 60s,born here in the UK, I LOVE MUSIC, all genre's. I got my first Bowie album at the age of 10 for my birthday. I still listen to this true iconic genius today. LISTEN to the track Moonage Daydream of the Ziggy stardust album, full blast on headphones (as instructed on the back of the album), many people comment on how diverse bowies vocals were, LISTEN, to the track, All the Madmen from, The Man Who Sold the World album and if you really want to treat your ears, then listen to the whole Diamond Dogs album where David played literally all the instruments and did all backing vocals,,really hope you get this, let me know, cheers, take care, Tony

Try Width of a Circle on the Man Who sold the World. If you haven't already. That album was a hard rocking one, not that Bowie didn't rock...he was stellar, but that album, like so many others, has a unique place in his catalog. Plus, the greatest guitarist imho,IMHO, Ronson.

You ruined that first amazing transition, one of the absolute highlights of the song, by pausing right in the middle of it. I understand that you need to pause it and give analysis but pausing so frequently, kills the flow and much of the feel of any song, making an honest analysis all but impossible
