Hey Nora, just wanted to pass some information on to. We use to scuba dive along time ago and we now hike and ride our road bikes. When we rode events, they were usually a 100 miles or longer. Road in Europe, the Alpes were very hard. Steep. Anyway I wanted to share with you what we took with us when riding and hiking. Water in our camelbacks and two water bottles on the bike. Each water bottle had Emergen-C in it. We also carried gels and protein bars. Got to eat to give you fuel. We also carried seeds and nuts. At the end of the ride or hike, we had a small ice chest with Gatorade, fruit and Bannas. Bannas are an excellent food for recovery. They have electrolytes, vitamins. The most important thing whether you are hiking, diving or cycling, is to stay hydrated. We enjoy your videos, you are having fun and keep up the good work. P.S. Remember, the only easy day was yesterday. 🇺🇸👍👍🚴♂️🥽

No, I’ve never seen a mountain biking scuba diver. 😂 I definitely wouldn’t like hiking 8 miles with all that gear in Arizona heat either. You earned your money in this video AND then some! Yes, a cane does help from walking long distance, especially if you’ve got a bad hip now and have gained weight since you were younger (ME). I enjoyed your video, so much work to make this one, THANKS Nora. 🙂

I don't want to be one of those but, a large part of my diving is in Northern Cali. which means Kelp. As a safety suggestion we find wearing our dive knifes on the inside of our calf is by far safer as it greatly reduces the entanglement with kelp or fishing line. (A chest knife is great to.) This also allows you to be reach your knife with either hand, when, not if, you end up with fishing line wrapped around everything .

They make single wheel bike trailers. Maybe there is one you could adapt to shoulder/body straps somehow so it wouldn't tip when walking those narrow trails, then take it off that hitch and use it on the bike. There may be trails where it's just too dangerous like we wouldn't want an errant trailer full of gear to pull you over a drop, but it might work some places. If someone's already had that idea for your gear just disregard my input and know I try. :) Good video!

When I was a boy back in the 60s we used to mountain bike almost every day. There just wasn't really any such sport back then. We used to mess up rims all the time. I only ate it once. lol That bullet casing should have the caliber stamped on the bottom arranged in a circle outside of the center primer. Not all do but the majority does. That goes for all center-fire calibers both pistol and rifle. Cool finds, Nora. All finds are cool, right? Keep on detecting. You know how it is; you certainly won't find that $1000 ring if you aren't looking. I've been giving my Equinox a workout. Gotta love Minelab. 👍🙂🙋♂️💯

The reason you don't see many trailbikes going scuba diving is that a scuba tank can explode if the tank falls onto a hard surface (i.e., a rock). If you fall with the tank on top of you, it can knock you in the head. It is so very easy to brake the valve against a rock, in which case the scuba tank becomes a rocket. It would take you for a ride, and/or take your head off. Please take care of yourself. That said, I am impressed with your stamina carrying the tank up and down long trails.
@oldscuba3 жыл бұрын
SCUBA tanks are built with that in mind, they are totally different at the valve then a tank you see in a garage..much safer..

Are you using a Al 40? You might get longer dives using metal tanks provided you have a shop that’s used to cave fills. You will find you have to carry less weight with a steel tank. A 50 cu steel tank can hold as much air as an Al 80. Another one thought is an electric mountain bike. Some of them have 80 mile ranges now. Your bullet case looks like a .223 or 5.56mm round that seems to be missing the top part of the case (the neck). Something interesting about it is that the primer does not have a dent in it. Meaning that it looks like it was never fired. More like it was drop and eroded over time. You can get one of your other cases that you have found and look at the bottom (the primer) and you'll see a small dent in the primer. The dent comes from the firing pin of the firearm which makes the round go off. Great video!
