Next time you find something encrusted in minerals like that a weak acid like vinegar could likely be used to dissolve what I am assuming to be calcium deposits from the spring.

Hydrochloric acid will dissolve those deposits right off of all of your metal coins. There’s several spots like that in the USA. Little Rock Arkansas and Hot Springs Arkansas this is an area you would enjoy 10:41 where I believe you could use your metal detector with success. Check out the hot springs there. The large hills in that area are absolutely beautiful. A great place for a vacation. I make reproductions of American Indian artifacts and tools. I have a friend who sends me a stone called Novaculite from there that’s my favorite flint knapping stone.

WOW…the drone shot of the hot springs was incredible! Love the terraced landscape, were the pools further “down-stream” less hot? And so many coins, I’ll bet people who don’t go in, throw them in for good luck like a fountain. I was really surprised there weren’t more people there, so beautiful! Industrial strength cleaning vinegar soak for a couple hours may be worth a try for those calcified finds and slightly less destructive than the battle axe... (not gonna lie though, pretty badass ;) lol ) Its inspiring to watch and be part of your brilliance utilizing technology to share the passion and adventures!
