During a stay back home for the holidays I decided to do a little metal detecting where my grandfather's service station once was. email: ratzlaffmotorco@gmail.com website: ratzlaffmotorco.com

Thanks for taking us along on the new dig & the old shop tour. I'd do the same thing if I were in your shoes. I'm a sucker for nostalgia. I live just a few miles from where I grew up. I lived next door to my maternal grandfather & just a stone throw away from my paternal grandfather's farm. By the time I was in my childhood most of the farmland was rented to a local farmer but we always got to play in the barn, corn crib, hog pen, & use the old outhouse. We would go into the barn at night to catch pigeons -- good memories. Pap rented the barn to a few horse owners & during my early- to- mid teens a few of us would go out into the fields with a rope & hitch a ride on the horses. I also remember gathering Blue Bells in one area of the pasture for my grandma & mom. Well, thanks for the trip down memory lane & for stirring a few thoughts from the depths of my brain. Keep'em coming.

You have two time capsules there. Amazing to see and touch this things your grandfather, father, and yourself touched all those years ago.

Very nice video that brought back memories of my grandfather. The pictures you shared and the memories in the emergency building were heart warming.

Happy New Year Mr. Jayhawker sir! This was really nice and special! Very personal. Thank you so much for taking us along. It makes me wish I could tour my Grandad’s old shop, but now it is all built into classrooms for a Job Corps😢. Best wishes for a great 2024 for you and your channel!

Nothing better than family history! Especially when it involves old cars, thank you for sharing it with us! Was hoping you would find an old Dr Pepper bottle top! Lol, and liked the Watkins hair cream for men, when guys slicked back their hair with that grease! Maybe you can do a video with lots of old pics and stories to go with them sometime, that would be great! Happy New Year and God Bless!
