a strong magnet ,300 grit diamond sharpening stone and a piece of tile for the scratch test the sharpening stone to see if its metal. (magnetite very magnetic) meteors dont scratch

Why not trying to do something more interesting; attaching a 1*1 meter coil at the back of that small vehicle, you just drive and dig when the device finds something,, those huge coils go very deep on large targets and probably avoid all those bullets?
