Just found your channel and was so surprised to find your searching in Oklahoma. I was blown away when you found a Walking Liberty! We haven’t been a state long enough to have lots of coins and historical metal things just randomly in the dirt. I guess I’m just wrong. Green Mountain Metal Detecting was my introduction to this hobby. All the things you displayed on this vid show many hours of work. Keep up the good work.

though I had some problem with sea water It also kzbin.infoUgkxa-FNYUOM93a388gi9a4brtSCEVmrHgJH land for finding any things very easily. (thought it would work as normal due to it being water proof within certain parts of the detector), on dry land and sand worked well. My first one, so still have lots to learn

The pointed cone is probably a cone off a Native American Jingle Dress. The cones were & still are made from metal tops of tobacco cans.

So glad you didn't hit that Silver Dollar. Not a model T emblem, Model T's are Ford. Those are just from a Chevrolet. That latch looks to be a window latch. Not a crotal bell - more like a school bell being that it's open. Crotal bells, or sleigh bells are spherical with a slot and holes and usually mounted to leather (then put on a horse). Thanks for showing your finds. Good luck out there. Chuck in NE Kansas

Yes sir, I’m glade to lol. Second half dollar I’ve found. Also I’m not to familiar with old vintage cars lol I do know the emblem is from 1920’s to 1930’s. The bell- Ii meant to say conestoga bell I not sure why I kept saying Crotal bell. But the conestoga bells which were suspended from arches above the shoulders of the horses. Usually these bells were of the open mouth type and suspended from flat iron hoops, the round end of which pointed downwards and passed through eyes in the hames. The number and size of these bells varied, just as did the material from which they were made. Some were of welded or brazed iron, while others were of brazed bronze or brass, cast brass and turned brass. I appreciate you correcting me. Thanks and happy hunting

A lot of times you will only find heads, or random arms and legs because the dolls had cloth bodies, and porcelain heads and limbs. The body materials will break down, disengaging the head and limbs. Then the individual pieces get washed and rolled away from one another.

The pointed cone is possibly from a female native dress. During the 19th century the cones were made often times out of the tops of skole cans or chewing tobacco cans and they were attached like I said all along the dress and then when the native dance they made a jingling sound.
@cjjohn6445

My wife got me a metal detector. I live next to fort Smith AR just on the Oklahoma side. I don't know where I could go to learn how use it. It's more of a cheaper model but I don't want to get more of expensive one until I learn how to use one. Would you have any suggestions on where I could practice and learn . Thank you
