Hello Merrill . Man all the different tones in such a small area . You should record all the tones and make a molage of it and make a song I mean do what you do to go with it Thanks for sharing plus the detector Knowledge you give everyone 👍🏾🌵

Great advice on the coil sizes. Sometimes, (small)size does matter. ☺️ Great video, Merrill.

I'm swinging a Simplex w/SP24 coil, trying to do what you do: Sniping in between the trash. Only I'm a beginner, but watching and learning all I can. The anticipation is what drives it and the thrill of the find is the reward, no matter what it is. My bucket list is a mile long. I know it's a low bar, but I'm still looking for wheat. Anyway, on to your next video. Stay safe and keep digging.

A trick I learned several years ago when hunting ground that is peppered with pull tabs is to listen very carefully how they typically sound. Occasionally you will hear one that sounds a little different than the rest. Try digging a few of these. Often you will find multiple targets in the hole. You may also find a coin in the mix. If this happens, again, take note of the differences in sound and look for others that are similar. It takes patience and some experimentation but you may discover a pattern that can payoff in the end.

You have mentioned a couple of times now that old silver rings up lower on the equinox. What have you noticed on the etrac? Does the same apply and numbers have you noticed? Thanks!!

I took a 20'x20' section of a small park and dug every signal...good, bad or indifferent....at first they mostly went to 8 inches...but as that area became clear of those signals, another layer...8 to 15 inches became clear and noticable...this also started dating itself, inch by inch to the 1850s....a lot of old coins were masked by the layer above it....I was told by a few old timers that they dugout the park in the 70s and 80s....not even close.

This whole plastic grass thing is kind of heartbreaking, not only from a metal detector/treasure hunter perspective, but just from the point of view of the natural world. It's almost as if they're trying to turn nature into a brochure and make everything LOOK as perfect as possible without any real care for the reality of it. Shameful really.
