I want to say thank you for the videos on the Hatfield and McCoy’s and the feud. I must admit I use to think it was just story that was past down and embellished.

Very cool. So interesting. I was surprised that more nails from the cabin weren't found. Were they possibly previously dug up. Now my curiosity is piqued & I want to know what that large chunk of iron that is down 3 ft could be. I hope at some point you and Danny go back & dig it up. Really good video. I can't wait for the December 31 anniversary camp out video. That will be fun to watch. Finding the bullets brings reality to the history. Good job Leo & Danny.

Leo, that looks so-o great! Oh, that place is so beautiful. Gosh! The grass is so green. Where I live in KY, the grass is almost all brown. The flowers are turning brown along with cornstalks. I know ithat it is the time of the year for cornstalks to begin turning brown, but we have not had any rain for a long time. You know. It is so sad when you have found such a beautiful place to camp and relax and then have to break it cup and leave. The sun coming up is beautiful. Can anyone camp where you are or did you need permission from someone? Glad Danny joined you Leo. This is just simply awesome Leo. I truly loved the video on Gettysburg. Thank you so very much.

Thank you Judy. It's private property. I was the only person to stay there since January 1st 1888, when the Hatfield's burned Randal McCoy's cabin down.

You guys made some really neat finds with a lot of history behind them. The large mushroomed projectile at 25:06 looks like an early shotgun slug. It hit something big and solid to distort into that shape. It could have hit a solid part of the house, like the chimney or a thick exterior wall. The .58 caliber rounds were likely Civil War surplus, which would have been readily available and inexpensive in the 1880s. From some of your finds like the copper pipe, the 1891 nickel, and the tin flashing at 43:16, I'm thinking there might have been another house or structure of some kind that was built on the site sometime after the McCoy house was burned. The well also looks like it had some improvements made to it in roughly 1900-1920, which were slightly lower than the modern structure above the ground. This is more evidence that something else might have occupied the site for a period after the McCoy house. Either way, to even find one item that is likely connected to the McCoys is really cool. I'd be willing to bet there are more fired bullets in the side of the hill.

He should use a piece of cloth to pile the dirt from the hole. It's easier to find the small stuff and more considerate to the landowner as you can pour the dirt back in the hole making less of a mess.

About 30-40 minutes just guessing. They probably knew shortcuts through the hills that aren't there now too. They change from year to year.

great video. But your buddy is a bit aggressive needs to slow down a bit, no need to get in that big of a hurry just going to damage what could be something of importance. an also he should had dug plugs an not butcher the guys property like that, it could possibly ruin an opportunity for the next guy that might be able to detect that place. awsome finds tho
