Metal Detecting Rookie Defies the Odds... and then does it again!

It's funny how the new guy in anything always seems to get the luckiest? They'll bowl that perfect 300 game with a month of bowling experience, or maybe they pick the winning horse their very first time at the track. I knew a guy that picked 10 winners his first time playing our weekly office football pool but still couldn't name a single player. Well apparently beginners luck is no exception in metal detecting either. This week me, Dog-Tag Doug, and the new guy, Geoff Leopard, go back to a house Doug and I detected a few years ago. The home was built in 1685 and sits on the historic registry so you know it's seen some history. We've hit it a few times in the past with our old machines, but wanted a another shot with some newer detecting technology. Turns out there was plenty of stuff we missed after all, and take a guess who finds the lions share...

I was a coin collector as a kid as well, so maybe that’s what made that memory pop up, also was a bank teller right outta high school which came in handy when those rare silvers & blue notes would show up in my teller drawer. That was always a good day @ work!!!
