Try a magnet on that Canadian quarter, it'll stick to it. Nickel is magnetic

The Canadian quarter is pure Nickel. It would not sound high unless you are in 40khz. single frequency. Likely there was a penny or something else with it. Canadian coins are silver 80% till 1966 and mixed 80%, 50%, or clad till 1968, depending on denomination.

the canadian coins are heavily NICKEL....they stay sort of shiny in the ground and sound like silver on the NOX; have dug a bunch of the dang beaver nickels and they look like war nickels when you first pop them out//i have done the same thing you just did on that quarter a bunch of times....its def aggravating

What did that Canadian quarter ring up as on the Nox? Usually those Canadian quarters are nickel plated steel. If you put a magnet to it, it may stick. Congrats on the silvers. _/👍

Really low after air testing it, after I dug it and stop recording there was two copper pennies in the same hole which probably triggered the original high tone. Thanks for watching!

After I dug it I checked the hole again, it had 2 copper memorials in the hole with it. It air tested more like a nickel.
