I have a 1898 Indian head cent and a 1944 silver mercury dime. a few weeks ago I found a hem weight use for curtains, dresses and coats from 1700's-1865.

@@billydsdetectingadventures2909 if anything I’d be curious to know what types of metals are Shield Nickels made out of? I can better understand also why some come out in good shape and bad shape out of the ground, why the patina is always poor compared to some other coins.
