Thank you so much! You hunt at all?

I purchased a Gold pulltab scoop Family owned business in Florida. Love the scoop thanks for sharing your Demo
@Burntchurchtreasurehunting4 ай бұрын
I’ll have to search that one out. Thank you for your feedback too! It’s hard to get an idea of size of these things with the online pics only, figured a video showing size and a demo may help others decide what’s right for them. Thanks again and happy hunting! Pulled up a nice gold ring about an hour after shooting this video with the t-Rex too haha. That video is coming soon.

I love my CKG scoop used it for 3 years ❤

I love mine too. Just had it out today again. I love that it can break down in half and fit in my detecting bag too. Thanks for the comment and watching!!!

Great scoop, had mine now for six months, hunting daily here on the treasure coast, hope you are doing well, fireman Jim

Doing well. Been out every week, found a really nice gold and diamond ring last week. Still trying to find time to edit the video haha. Hope you’re having good luck down on the treasure coast!

@@Burntchurchtreasurehunting been doing ok, got a very old gold ring and a copper ring at Amber sands beach, going to take it to the Mel Fisher museum and have them look at the rings, finding a lot of junk jewelry and fishing weights on the beach, we just need a good storm to wash out all the sand they put down over the summer, happy hunting buddy, Jim

T Rex looks nice

I like it. It’s heavier for sure, but cuts down on the number of scoops needed to dig a target. Can’t go wrong with either of these really

CKG most practical and most affordable scoop on market !!
@Burntchurchtreasurehunting4 ай бұрын
Definitely the most affordable. Still amazingly durable too. It’s my go to when I am traveling too because it’s ability to break down in half for transport too. Thanks for watching! The hunt video that took place right after this will be released soon too. Found a nice chunky ring 😃

I use a T-Rex with a carbon fiber shaft as well. It is heavy but I just drag it along the beach which leave nice lines for you to follow which in effect make a grid pattern so you're not detecting the same areas.
@Burntchurchtreasurehunting4 ай бұрын
Funny you say that, that’s exactly what I did haha. It definitely makes digging targets much easier compared to the CKG as I found it only took a few scoops to recover most every target vs a bunch with the smaller scoop. Definitely drag it behind though haha. Thanks for responding and your input and for watching! Best of luck out there

Havent in a long time. I used go go with my dad a lot when i was a kid.

Hopefully you have some great memories from it and some cool finds too. My kids are just starting to get into it, but still on the small side to do a bunch of the leg work haha. They are expert shark tooth hunters though haha

Had a Trex got rid of it pretty quick. Got a coob (I think same as ckg) and like it. I think it’s bigger than yours. Really want an xtreme scoop but no sponsorship yet haha
@Burntchurchtreasurehunting4 ай бұрын
Thanks for responding! What didn’t you like about the trex to make you switch? It’s a big one that’s for sure. Makes digging easy but it’s quite heavy to lug around haha
@EastCoastDigs4 ай бұрын
@@Burntchurchtreasurehunting I think it was the original, way too heavy for me, especially when you fill it with wet sand. Although idigdaytona uses it and makes it look so satisfying haha. I like to use my foot to kick and fling the sand now too so light is good
@Burntchurchtreasurehunting4 ай бұрын
@EastCoastDigs I used it for a few hours yesterday with mostly dry sand. Once I hit the water though for a half hour, I felt the pain haha. I am sore today after using it, but it could be me being out of shape too hahaha. Best of luck out there and thanks for watching and responding too!

@@Burntchurchtreasurehunting not just you! I also feel awkward yielding a shovel on the beach with little kids running around, having one that is twice as heavy makes me a little more uneasy cuz that thing would do some damage!

Also have an RTG Pro…not so good for “tiny” stuff…coin-size, it’s great…kinda heavy too.
@Burntchurchtreasurehunting4 ай бұрын
I’ll have to check that one out too. Going back out hunting tomorrow and using the T-Rex again. We’ll see how heavy it gets this time around after using it for a few hours last trip
@rodcoulter9974 ай бұрын
Use the “Big T-Rex” in the surf…wet sand is easy to water shift. Have a smaller 6.5 T-Rex that does “Double Duty”…A-OK
@Burntchurchtreasurehunting4 ай бұрын
It works like a charm in wet sand for sure
@theinterstellarcollection29 күн бұрын
Curious if you were to buy today, would you prefer the T. rex or ckg if you don’t hunt in the water (just wet and dry sand). I know T. rex is built really well, so I’d rather that than one that will eventually break. Do you feel the ckg has still stood up to your hunts without any doubts, 3 months after you posted this video?
@Burntchurchtreasurehunting29 күн бұрын
They are both solid, but when I go hunting locally, I take the T-Rex every time. When I travel and luggage is involved, I take the CKG because it comes apart in 2 and is easier to store. Can’t go wrong with either, they’ve both been used quite a lot with no flaws/failures for me. Best of luck and happy hunting!
@theinterstellarcollection29 күн бұрын
@ thanks for the response! The price difference is pretty drastic but I heard so much good things about T. rex. Seems to be a bit of a step up in quality if I’m not mistaken?
@Burntchurchtreasurehunting29 күн бұрын
They are both good quality, but the T-Rex is definitely very heavy duty. I’ve used the CKG digging through pluff mud and oyster shells and had no issues, just a smaller basket and takes a bit more pressure to dig through. T-Rex is like using the hulk of scoops, but quite a bit heavier to lug around too (I drag it behind me, which actually makes my path easier to follow for my grid).
@theinterstellarcollection29 күн бұрын
@@Burntchurchtreasurehunting thanks so much! Looks like I will be going with ckg since you feel the quality is the same. No reason to drag around something heavier if I’m not in areas that require it. Thanks again!
@Burntchurchtreasurehunting29 күн бұрын
No problem at all. Like I said, I’ve used them both, CKG actually for a bit longer. Only reason I got a T-Rex was so I could dig larger holes in the sand faster. But the trade off is lugging it around with its weight. 6 in one, half dozen in the other haha. Best of luck and happy hunting! Let me know how it works for you once you get it and start using it!
