Gotta love those early sites! Earliest history around me is 1820ish when my ancestors settled the area but there's something special about getting on a site that is as old as it gets for the location. That axe/hatchet that muck found looks super old! GLHH

The unfortunate part of detecting is that the digs are finite and the go to spots dry up. Good luck in finding new places! Otherwise, maybe some schools and ballfields with new machines???? HH

Well, maybe you luck will turn next time. Lots of cool relics, though. That axe head looked colonial. I saw one like it that had a broadhead symbol on it to show it was made in England on a recent Oak Island show. Maybe it will show after some electrolysis. Thanks!

Seems like most of the coppers that you find are too smooth on either side to identify. What percentage of the ones that you find actually are identifiable?

It's all hit or miss. Most of the ones we do identify don't look great. Soil is everything. The longer they've been in the ground the worse they are
