We returned to a very old farm we haven't visited in years! We tried getting on a new permission, but it didn't work out. Honestly, I'm glad it didn't. I remembered an Iron Patch we found at the end of our hunt 2 years earlier. We walked directly to the iron patch where a home once stood and Had immediate success! This iron patch is huge and It was completely untouched besides when we first found it. That day we only had about an hour before the sun was gone. This day we pounded it and it kept giving! We even found multiple coins sitting on the surface!

I love Wednesday. I was paralyzed and that’s how I discovered you guys. I was getting into metal detectors because I lived in Washingtons Crossing, Bucks County PA. I am now getting my ability to walk back. I’m hoping to be back walking this summer. I just went back and watched the first episodes and to think you went from knowing nothing to finding an 8 Maravedes, trade weights and all those other items. The stuff in the water is what amazes me. You guys are so much fun to watch. Especially Mark. Remember that episode where someone complained that Muck was boring and they were going to unsubscribe? Back in colonial times pants pockets were not common. They kept coins in their shirt, vest or a coat pocket usually in small pouches and often tied together thus the reason for so many holed coins.

Can't wait until you guys start running the equinox 900, the seperation in iron is impressive. Its amazing what fives years in technology will get you Kurt. Have you seen any of the new videos? This 900 will hit silver with iron criss crossed on top and all around it.. Hope you're considering the upgrade. Thanks for the videos, as always I love the content! When you run across nails in the ground it acts much different then how you see a detector react on these surface tests with everything laying on a 2 dimension plane. In the ground it's 3 dimensional and it's not masked nearly as hard as one believes. After a while you can learn to hear a non ferrous target between the iron and you need to dig it all. They're not filling the pail because the machine isn't discing it out. A lot of it is iron pulled out along with a good target. I have several detectors bought within the last few years and I often pull the 20 year old DFX out and in these farm fields and it can go toe to toe with today's new tech high end machines but it is actually slightly better with the target ID in accuracy. It kind of doesn't matter if the ID is off a little or not I dig every little peep even when I know there's iron for sure down there. Truthfully these VLF detectors have pretty much reached the max power that they can emit so detectors don't add more power like the Manticores claim of 50% more power. They are all held to 1 watt of power to the coil and it's been at this FCC regulation for years now so raw power is capped the only thing these modern detectors really offer are different bells and whistles and/or the ability to control different functions. And when it comes to function controls the old DFX lets you control things most detectors set to a standard default which is how that old of a machine in the right hands can hold it's ground against today's technology. But today's machines are better for turning on and going without adjusting several setting first for each site. I'm not saying the Nox 900 isn't a good detector but (IIMO anyway) it isn't that much of a difference that you'll even see it out perform the others enough to recover that over priced price tag. Or like having a Red Screen may look cool being it's different it doesn't do a thing for performance. I was told by somebody in the detecting business for over 50 years that he believes it's a marketing ploy to sway people from buying their leaky 600 and 800 models. They can't afford to come clean and initiate a recall so they're relying on people upgrading and replace any drowned units and relying on the fact that most people will never take it under water but they would still want it replaced if they knew it might probably leak if Minelab were to offer the recall for those who want it. People are by nature that way even if they know it will never see the water in their mind the machine is flawed even though it can kick *SS on land. Damn I know I can talk but I really rambled on with this one. I didn't mean anything offensive if you bought the 900 I'm just trying to suggest you save some money if you already have a high end machines the difference is more cosmetic then performance. Hell if anything the Deus II would be a better choice financially if buying a first high end machine then the 900 it would save you $500 it's just as deep if not deeper and ignores trash very well also. Happy Hunting with which ever machine you decide to run they'll all do well but if you have your heart set on the 900 then that's what you should get nobody's opinion should cause you to change your mind unless someone is suggesting not to get one of these higher end machines and the 800 for hunting on land is already in that class. I got a Nice 800, the AT Maxx, and recently the upgraded Legend because my heart wanted them and yet I'm often going back to the DFX and killing it with that old ass dinosaur lol. One last thing I may as well say since I already wrote an entire essay but for $600 the Legend which I got for the water is right up there in the same class for half the price it's making me wonder if we've been getting bamboozled paying top dollar all these years for these high end machines. I don't regret this one at all she doesn't leak and I'm abusive on equipment. Happy Hunting I wish you success

Lol.. Thanks for the copy and paste. Save that for someone who hasn't done extensive research, and doesn't run their own tests. I have everything I need, and there's plenty of videos of these machines comparing singles with iron in the hole.. And the Legend isn't in the same class, it can't seperate like the Deus, Nox, or Manty, it's out classed. And yes the Deus 2 is at the top of the mountain, but I wasn't suggesting that one. None of that was necessary..

And there most certainly is a huge difference in the way these machines perform over any of the machines you mentioned. If you can't hear your target through the iron you won't dig it. Put just one nail over a single silver coin and try to pick it up with any of the machines you just mentioned, won't happen. Losing good targets in the iron, and that's the truth no matter what you say. I've thrown nails in the holes with so many different targets, the old nox can't see the targets, completely masked. 900 unmasks the targets. It's old technology Steve. You'll come around when you spend the money and see for yourself
