I understand you want to keep the levels even for the shootout however I feel the MXR was misrepresented. The are so many EQ settings paired with a built in noise gate which can be adjusted and a scoop button as well. IMO these pedals are worlds apart in sound and possibility. The MXR was made many years after the Digitech giving it a great advantge. As an added bonus it is true bypass. I myself own both pedals I believe the fullbore is a better pedal. But I do have to add the day I got that Digitech OMG I love it. It just didn't age so well imo. Sorry if this comment seem like a rant. I enjoyed your video and will sub for sure.

Slayereyez Not a rant. A fair comment. I think the MXR is miles better, but recording with it, it sounds so different to how it sounds coming out of the amp. In real life the MXR is KILLER

I'm quite okay with you even a few years after xD just bought a mxr after testing it, it has a wide range and so much possibilities it could give orgasms to steeve vai. As soon as i tested it i wanted it xD now i'm just waiting for it to arrive, but the digitech death metal is already really great ^^

I love the Fullbore but not the Death Metal. I actually think the Digitech GRUNGE pedal is better than most metal pedals for metal and it's certainly better than the DM for metal. Fullbore is the best though and that is coming from a guy that loved the Metal Muff. The Fullbore just does what I want (everything at 12 o' clock works for me) and it's footprint is great for someone who has limited space on his board...

AetherMate It's hard to explain unless you're in the room with them. The gate for one, it's so handy. The tones you can get out of the FB are so versatile. It's immense!

Yes the MXR pedal is king here for sure!I didn't like my digitech pedal as it sounds like it's in a f@#king box compared to the MXR.if I was to play pantera I'm gonna pick my MXR pedal all the way!!

The MXR seem to be totally unable to deliver the bottom end even with the low turned up. Too bad cause I like the features on this pedal. Especially the gate.

maybe something is wrong with my ears, but I'm pretty much hearing the opposite of what you just said. To me, at least on my computer, the mxr sounds great, and the other sounds tinny and weak.

I have both pedals: togehter it's a wonderful combo for doom, noise, industrial, drone, etc... I got them also for really cheap/ridiculous prices on the 2nd hand market! (like the deathmetal for 20$ and the fullbore for 50$).

The fullbore is amazing in its own right, but the digiteck has a character & sounds more like what a black metal fan would use instead, 8:06 this is extremely beautiful, sounded way better on the digitech, what is it ?.

I just bought the MXR Fullbore Metal and because I can see that you're a Metallica fan because of you're photo and your gear, I tell you that the MXR is better for that sound.

the Fullbore has way too much mid-highs and highs for it's own good. Sad really. It could have been a better product. As is, you can get them used at any time you go fishing for a new pedal [that alone tells you how happy the people using it are].

I'd go with the digitech instantly even before watching the video. The guitarist in my band uses the Fullbore petal into the PA system because he doesn't have an amp and it just sounds like dog shit. I'm sure the petal is fantastic, its probably just the person that's using it.

I still stick with the original boss mt2. Only thing the fullbore has going for it is the gate. So I use a boss noise suppressor with my metal zone and blow away both pedals..
