There are certain parts in the game where Miller won't answer if it's not canonically-appropriate, like when you're fighting Liquid in the Hind for example.

That’s something I love about Kojima. He puts in subtle hints to his plot twists. Which is the proper way to do it. My favorite is actually in MGSV. Ocelot tells Venom Snake to go find a Russian interpreter. But that’s a weird thing to do because Big Boss speaks Russian in canon. It was a neat subtle hint to the plot twist at the end of the game.

goddamn dude, you have this retrospective shit on LOCK, informative, entertaining ,genuinely funny, I've always thought that all the work the teams put into these games is kind of unappreciated by the layman such as me who doesnt know or understand all the real life historical references and perspectives it refers to. its insane how deep some of these connections actually end up going, and even if they wont be for everyone, shoutout to my fellow thinkers and analyzers fighting the good fight and researching shit. it really makes me appreciate a piece of art when I know how much deliberate thought has been put into every detail, and its always nice to be reminded I'm not the only one!

KOJIMA is such a generation X man, born in the sixties high school in late seventies, college in the early eighties . His cynical attitude about corporations and the Government's shady Deffense and espionage in the cold war say a lot about the time he grew up. A lot of his love of genera fiction makes me believe that he has very generation X love of pushing boundaries too annoy the corporate bureaucrats as well as seeking a strong voice as a creative person.

As an extra bit of trivia, the devs anticipated the possibility that a player may approach the Mantis boss battle with a non-functioning second controller port, and created an alternative method which doesn't require the use of it. If you attack the four statues, you'll remove their blindfolds, and once they're all done then Mantis's psychic input-reading will be blocked.

Hey my man, loved this video. I thought it was one of the more interesting takes on these games, thus far. My only gripe, outside of the context of the review; is that I could hear Skype and Discord notification sounds throughout certain parts. I would check it out on my own end and have nothing, rewind the video and hear them again at those exact moments. My advice is, if you're using a Windows PC anyway, to lower the volume of those other programs with the native Volume Mixer while you do recording sessions. I'd understand it if it was gimmick to confuse the viewers (during specific moments of certain videos) but I feel this video was very straightforward and it felt like an oversight. At any rate, I'm glad I got to watch this. It wasn't super up it's own ass, but also not too extremely in-depth. I felt it was a nice mild layer peeling kind of deal. I hope to see more of your videos in the times ahead. And I also hope you had a nice day, if you do happen to see this post.
@ieatmoths10036 жыл бұрын
ThorHighHeels I did find you splicing certain plotpoints from MG2's segment back into MGS1's segment to be really funny and cleaver. (Thinking about it now, MGS1 might be one of gaming's first ever series overhaul/reboots.) I guess in the context you provided, it does make a bit more sense to me now. However, maybe try giving more clues visually next time. Rather than solely on hoping the audio will clue folks in, entirely. Then again, I'm not gonna tell you directly what to do, as I find your videos very enjoyable and feel that it's your special way of doing things that makes them so. It's just a slight suggestion, if anything. Anyhow, keep up the great work, my man! Seeing a creator actually respond to their comments and the people who watch them always makes me excited to see what you'll do you next. Can't wait for whatever else you've got planned. Take care and I hope you had a nice day today!

I had no idea how similar MGS was to Metal Gear 2, to the point where it's sort of a remake. I only ever played the Twin Snakes remake, never the PS1 original, which I only recently got. This video makes me want to play it now, and want another new game like what this one did. You drew some good social contexts in this one with MGS. Nice work!
@thorhighheels6 жыл бұрын
I'd say it's worth playing. Before this, I was also only familiar with the Twin Snakes, and this definitely has it's own flair and atmosphere to it. Gameplay is also more challenging, due to not being able to aim in first person. Forcing you to use stealth more better. It good game.
