@@jackdaniels5168 he did write the story and setting, but even though Platinum made most of the game the title is still a property of Konami and they know better than to add another title to the series after Kojima left turning his fans against them. I don't think that Konami died as a company back then but the Metal Gear Solid series certainly did, they'll never be able to do anything more with the ip than some remasters and ports, anything more than that and the fans will just accuse them of milking the franchise for quick money, shitting over Kojima's work and vision, be nothing more than soulless cashgrabs and so on and so on you know the internet. also let's not forget that Metal Gear Rising was an economical failure for Konami, and even after being recognized all those years after release it has a proportionally minuscule fanbase compared to the main series, do you really think they would risk another blow to their reputation over a spin off like that? the only way this could happen is if Kojima chose to collaborate with Platinum to do it but first off he's done with Metal Gear, second why would he do that when he has his own game company now, and last but not least either Konami would have to give their approval which they would never do after the shitstorm he left them to deal with by leaving them to make his own company or one of the two would need to buy the rights to the series, and I don't see anybody being able to afford the Metal Gear franchise in the near future. I'm afraid this gem of a game will have to shine alone for the time being.
