Metal Gear Solid 2 - PS5 vs PS3 Opening Cutscenes

The comparison pretty much confirms that even the PS5 version is running at 720p, visually there isn't much difference compared to the PS3 version, except some sort of filtering was applied for antialiasing and wraps the 720p image in a 1080p output, which then gets upscaled again because PS5 video output is 4K.

The Master Collection MGGS2 version is the XBOX 360 port if the HD collection.. Both Substance and the original MGS2 port for the PS2 and Original Xbox didn't have the green filter. Don't know why the PS3 version had a green filter. The fonts in the background are supposed to be blue.

the colors on the PS3 and some of the rain effects are actually wrong and or missing compared to the PS2. Konami actually fixed it for the PS5/Series/PC

PS5 looks better more like the original upscaled to the better graphics the cast subtitles color look exactly like on PS2 plus there is no framerate issue on PS5

The new one is brighter for some reason slightly but I can't remember tbh which is closer to the PS2 lol😂 overall both look good but definitely PS4 and ps5 one should have been 4k for mgs2 and mgs3 they just needed to do ui patches

The fact that a fan modder made a third-person camera mod and they couldn't even develop their own to add this feature in optionally, or even just straight up steal the modder's version and polish it up if needed. Konami are lazy and this port is a cash grab.

The original was blue (you can goggle it), but it also have some mist-like fade. The proper fade missing in both ps3 and ps5.

Because they've taken the Xbox 360 versions of the HD Remaster, ported to x86 and used that for the PS4/5 and Xbox One/X
