+ShinobiSpec Everyone knows why Miller died, you dunce, it's in MGS1. Diamond Dogs ceases to exist as a separate entity when Venom is given command of Outer Heaven, anyone capable of thinking for themselves can figure that out in a second. MGS2 was originally meant to be the conclusion of the series and that game leaves much more reasonable questions up in the air, meant to be discussed for years after the game's release but Konami forced him to sell out his vision (MGS4), thankfully that isn't happening this time.

Luis Gutierrez In one of the trailers, they depicted Eli as "A youth who curses his fate" and he wears a middle eastern carving representing a snake. Liquid also spent his youth in the Middle East, capable of speaking Arabic as a native according to his Bio. The name "Eli" is also pointing to Liquid. Eli is the brother of David in the Bible, Solid Snakes real name is David. David and Eli, Kojima using Religious symbolism (Which he does a lot, like in MGS3 Ocelot (Code named ADAM in the game) and Eva represented Adam and Eve). It's got to be Liquid.

MY THEORY: BIG BOSS gets blackmailed or convinced into killing all the kids at the start of the trailer by Skullface. That's why you see them near that Metal Gear. As the saying goes: A murderer always comes back to the place where he commited the murder. We know Skullface wants to see that he isn't the only one who can go through the horrible moments he had to experience so he finds a way to make BIG BOSS kill others for him. Maybe there is one survivor,and that is the most precious thing for Skullface. Makes sense!

I think Hideo Kojima underestimated the graphical power he would be working with when development of this game started some three years ago, the assets seem to have a low poly count, the hair looks terrible, and the textures are not max resolution. 2:42 this blonde kid is Raiden, he was a child soldier on an west african country during a war. He was a Phsycopat and loved to use blades to cut enemies. You can see him fighting with Big Boss as a child and as a grown man after being trained by the Patriots. Big Boss stabbed him on the sholder as a kid, and as an Adult Raiden stabbed him in the shoulder. I belive this game will show us a big time period, ranging from 9 to 15 years and will end with Big Boss dying to his clone from the Les Enfants Terribles project, Solid Snake, completing the circle of the franchise. Can't wait for this, the hype!

favorite msg is very opinionated. I know I've heard MGS1, MSG2, MGS3, MSG4 and MSG Peace Walker as the best MSG game. Hideo Kojima gets the job done every time. For those of you who ask why Otacon's dad, Huey is there, MGS5 is not only a sequel to MGS3, but it's also a sequel to MGS Peace Walker for the PSP (also available on the HD collection and Legacy Collection). Huey first appeared in Peace Walker as a guy forced into developing the Reptile Pod for the AI controlled Metal Gear. Big Boss rescued Huey, but eventually Huey and Master Miller will have a falling out with Big Boss.

There are plenty of gaps in the timeline that Kojima could fill if he wanted. It's unnecessary, but possible. Of course, if he did that, people would cry and whine "sellout" and "money whore", not realizing that there is no more important story to tell, unless they want another Metal Gear Rising, which no sane person would want. I would rather keep having MGS games, covering unimportant events, that a MGR continuation, or the end of Metal Gear. What I would actually prefer is a remake of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2. Maybe even 1-3, remade from the ground up, not just retextured. Same with the portable canon material like Portable Ops and Peace Walker.
