That's what a true remake is. Keep it like the original. just a Higher Resolution Graphical Remake of the original with the same controls. no change no BS. this is the best for newer gamers to experience the original game if they think Older graphics are bad. all this Reimagining from Remakes is the reason some veterans still play the original on the original console.

Can't complain about that. Sometimes as far as a remaster/remake goes, that's all that was ever asked for. Updated visuals and cleaned up/updated controls. Sometimes all we want is a re-polishing of legacy titles not an entire reimagining. Like FF7 remake... Those are good in their own right, but the departure from the barebones structure of the originals kinda left me with a bitter after taste. Small admittedly. But still there... As an OG fan of FF7, I would have been happy with the updated visuals of Ever Crisis over the bones of the original, with maybe a few expansions as far as story and exploration went. But that's just me tho... 😕 -B.

I know straying too far from the source material is a big risk and even bigger for a franchise as iconic as MGS. But more fluid movement/combat controls, enhanced enemy ai to make the game harder and more engaging and eliminating the load points when moving from one area to the next would have been a nice addition. Although I don't know how the die hard fans would have taken those changes

I really hope that the AI is improved. I read that the modern controls version will have an upgraded version of AI enemies while the classic controls will have the same AI. Hopefully the different difficulty in the modern version will make the AI more challenging like having further eye sights, even better hearing as well to make it more engaging and challenging.

MGO would be the only thing that would save this game (IMHO). With more maps and expand them better than before. It's hard to believe that it takes 5 years to make a game Metal Gear 6 should have been out. Call of duty franchise and Rainbow are far ahead of Konami, so sad.

Obviously it will not beat the original PS2 version. however making it exactly the same PS2 game just prettified graphics is the best way to keep the metal gear legacy not forgotten. this game is designed for newer players to play something closer to the original PS2 game. you are wondering... why not use emulation? because most players will not bother emulating older games. and the mentality of gamers are newer graphics. that's the reality. they will miss on the original game however this is the best alternative to introduce players to the games we play in the past. also newer players will not play games that have ancient graphics for their standards cause that's the reality. sure we will enjoy the original PS2 graphics but we are already at the age of not having time to play game till we die. and trying to recommend older titles won't work. it's the same for when you recommend a NES game to SNES players because they won't bother to play it. i'm no Kojima Purist so if they manage to pull this off then the game's legacy will live on for future generations and i hope they make it too faithful or an exact recreation. unless your one of those people who wants Metal Gear to die and be forgotten then i won't be surprised.

This game is gonna be too easy if the boss battles don’t change to adapt to the improved controls. It’ll be like having RE4 remake controls in the original RE4. I feel like the enemy AI in delta are still tuned to the original control scheme so they’re gonna be super easy to overwhelm.

They should've stuck with the original order nobody cared about big boss until we realized his true connections to the snakes' history. This game actually thrives off of its flashbacks and past never seen battles remember Zanzibar😵😵 Metal gear Solid 4 was the biggest mistake never played the 5th (no David Hayter voice actor no thank you) but far as lore and storytelling goes the first is still unmatched, I missed when consoles had limitations developers were so creative we should've got metal gear original msx remake before 4 or did we already? 3 aka delta was the least successful metal gear solid game of the original trilogy 🤔

Bro, mgs delta is a copy and paste job. Besides the engine they use, everything is nearly identical to mgsv system. “Luscious remake”- they didn’t even start from scratch. Some “new gen” when the bare minimum standards are met.

I can only go by your word Games Radar, for me the number of small details and easter eggs Kojima had in the original MGS games was unbelievable, I would be shocked if this is the case with the remake as well since he's not around, but I'm very hopeful.

The primary reason the original feels clunky is because there was no procedural tilt or acceleration tilt as it's also called. Snake turned left or right with no center of gravity. It looks stupid and feels stupid at that.

It’s sad that it didn’t fix any of the original games issues, which only existed due to hardware limitations. Like poor enemy AI, extremely small and linear maps, and other things. Like, they only created each type of animal in the game once, then copied and pasted, over and over. If you find one reticulated python, you’ve found them all (and so on for every animal).
