I think he actually referred to liquid. Liquid knew snake was coming because he said at the beginning of the game, "He'll be through here. I know it." during the opening. So he probably informed everyone else about Snake's presence approaching. And since Liquid is the leader of foxhound, it makes sense they call him the boss but not as a codename.

The voice acting in the original mgs is far better than anywhere else in the series. Snake doesn't sound Deliberately gruff, Ocelot and the other bosses sound a lot less melodramatic. Try this: Look at this scene and then check out its mgs:twin snakes counterpart. You'll never look at metal gear the same again.

The muzzle velocity of a bullet fired from a revolver is slower than one fired from an automatic. That's bad for you, the slower a guns muzzle velocity the more damage it does. That's because the bullet will tend to lodge in the body instead of going right through. Those kinds of wounds take a long time to heal, sometimes they never do. It's part why he likes that gun, he's a real sick puppy that Ocelot. The first model of the Colt Single Action army was made in 1873 over 135 years ago, today they're still being made in small numbers but that's for collectors and such. Biggest draw back to revolver style handguns is the reload time, but he loves it that's what what will give you the advantage.

Right after Solid Snake entered of what he had unwittingly *almost* - what he would've touched - the damned booby-trapped LOADED with HOW MANY C4s? Wherever that was(?). A SOCOM semiautomatic pistol like that is heavy to hold, weighs about twenty-five pounds, isn't easy to hold on to,to easily strap on a utility belt,and to actually pull it out in a blink of a eye......aim and POOM! POOM! POOM! POOM! POOM! POOM! POOM! Without a suppressor, whenever you DO pull the trigger, it's VERY loud. (ear-splitting,soul-shattering,pants-wetting extremely loud pew pews...) I'm no expert in handguns,but anything like some SOCOM semiautomatic pistol is no ordinary firearm. It's mainly used for and by Special Forces. If it weren't for Baker. The reason why he had been groaning and making that kind-of-moaning-while he may-be-hurt kind of noise ....is because he HAD been hurt???? After that particular part after the Cyborg Ninja departs, Solid Snake talks to Baker,and asks why one if his arms is folded. It was of Ocelot Revolver had *broken* it.

Why doesn't Ocelot express any recollection of meeting Snake, seeing as he had already met Big Boss, as they look alike? Was this before Kojima decided to create more background for Ocelot?

Onmysheet I think you are confusing Solid Snake with Naked Snake (aka Big Boss). This is the first time Solid Snake encounters Ocelot in person. When he says, "So you're the one the boss was always talking about", he is referring to how Big Boss spoke of Solid Snake during the timeline of the original Metal Gear games. So yeah, Ocelot has heard of Solid Snake and knows about him but hasn't met him face to face. It's explained (very briefly) in The Phantom Pain. Ocelot tells Big Boss that soon the day will come when his sons will come after him to settle the score. So again, Solid Snake has never met Ocelot before (and possibly has never even heard of him). Believe it or not this scene still very much falls in line with the overall canon of the series, and there isn't any inconsistencies or plotholes. Hope this helps

ocelot already knew, so he didnt really mind. he might have noticed snake and liquid looked like and thought "oh so that's where the other twin went"
