hey brother for the music that was all junky and sounded like two different bands. its a band called maximum the hormone and they are a very experimental Nu metal band from japan. as a guitarist I think you should react to them. as their music is both really weird and interesting.

On the topic of pausing and analyzing I really like when people who know music analyze it as they hear it, but I recommend every time you go back to the video go back 5 or 10 seconds so you can get back into the vibe of the song or see anything you could have missed at the moment you paused.
@ThatGuyYouSeeCommentingOnClips

Yeah, videos where people never pause to comment are just uninteresting: I can go and listen to the song separately, if I'm watching a reaction, I'm here to hear your thoughts, never understand people getting weird about it. Love when people get in-depth.

While I agree with this in principle, I will say going by 10-15 seconds if you pause a lot and only have a minor interjection you want to make can totally ruin the pacing of these types of videos.

The name of the song in ED #12 is Fight Song. Eve is the artist, and he actually has a youtube channel. Fight Song has its own music video completely unrelated to Chainsaw Man. It's a video I return to every so often, cause I love it that much. Definitely recommend looking into Eve's music in general though. You'd also get to hear the full version of Fight Song if you went to his channel.

Fun fact: The genre switch in ED3 is a pretty common thing to happen in the band's (Maximum The Hormone) songs. In fact, the female voice singing is the drummer herself. If you see her live you'd see that she sings while drumming like that which is nothing short of amazing.

FYI: Most anime openings and endings have full versions. They’re usually cut down to around a minute and a half for the episodes. So if an opening or ending is like a minute thirty, the full version could be like 3-5 minutes long.

I love endings 2, 3 and 8 are my favourites. Zutomayo who do ending 2 are amazing and would highly recommend watching more of them. Maximum the hormone did ending 3 and they are also amazing, some of the songs are so batshit insane and they swap genres mid song, and obviously ending 8 is done by TK same as Tokyo ghoul, would highly recommend checking out his bands stuff under “Ling tosite sigure” I find the band stuff even better than his solo stuff. 19:05 yes, it is the same band, it is called Maximum the hormone. They have 3 singers if i remember correctly. One person does heavy Mongolian like sounds with weird agressive sounds, another one raps and does screaming and his sister does clean female vocals. All their songs are like this. You will love all of their songs, they are really cool. They did opening 2 and ending 2 for anime Death Note for example.

@Eterrath
@Eterrath Ай бұрын
My note about the 1st Ending: Chainsaw Man, at a very bird's eye point-of-view, is essentially just a twisted version of your typical superhero story. That's why the first ending sounds so generic. It's supposed to be easing you in like a superhero cheering track while the other EDs get crazier and more stylistic as the show becomes a lot, lot more crazy with each passing episode.
@trop3848
@trop3848 Ай бұрын
Your read on the song by Aimer was not totally plot accurate (obviously), but you precisely nailed a few narrative themes like loss, acceptance, and conflict. With knowledge of the plot, it becomes more emotionally complex and rich of course. These songs do try (to an extent) to be an outlet for whatever emotional overtones or undertones dominated the episode.

At [24:51] that "weird, stereotypical alien sound" is usually produced by a unique and rare electronic instrument called a *Theramin.* It was created in the 20's-30's, but didn't become a "thing" until the 1950's, when SciFi movie directors grabbed onto the sound as the classic "alien invasion" music.

Good luck in your journey into the world of anime, You may find it interesting to watch some top 100 OP's or something like that. They won't be the full songs but might give you an idea of what you want to check out or which ones you want to explore more. Now as an anime junkie, I know a lot of hidden gems that will be at the bottom of a lot of peoples lists. Obviously the popular ones are popular for a reason and so you should watch the more recommended stuff first to get a real feel for it but honestly there are some cool or fun niche Ops that I personally love. For example this season, an anime from the olden days just got rebooted and is continuing the story from where it left off. It's called Kinnikuman perfect origin arc and I love the OP for it.

Since you are most likely to be reacting to all the Attack on Titan Openings in your next video, I will be putting a little list for you so you'll have everything ^^ Oh and a few infos at the bottom too Openings 1-7; 1- Guren no yumiya 2- Jiyuu no tsubasa 3- Shinzou wo Sasageyo 4- Red Swan 5- Shoukei to Shikabane no Michi 6- My war 7- The Rumbling Basically, a typical season for an anime usually consist of either 12 or 24 episodes. Every 12 episodes there is a new opening and ending. Chainsaw man is has only 1 season of 12 episodes for now, which is why there is only 1 opening, Sometimes when animes that are expected to generate a high revenue comes out, they can have multiple openings or endings, which is why Chainsaw Man has 12 endings. Not many shows do this, so in the future you won't have 13 songs to react to in one video. Hope this helped. Anyways, thanks for the reaction and for actually editing your videos. People don't usually edit reaction videos, so you doing it is nice ^^. Lastly, don't hesitate to pause while listening to the songs. We're here to hear your breakdown and thoughts on them after all.

i'm sure you know by now but like 90% of anime EDs(endings) and OPs(openings) have a TV version that's shortened to show the credits, but also a completely independent full version. If you're not too invested in analyzing what's on screen, then you could probably extend your solo ED and OP reviews by looking at the full versions instead of the TV versions 👍

My favorite endings are 1 and 3. Vaundy "Chainaw Blood" and Maximum the Hormone "Hawatari Nioku Centi" or translated to English 2-Hundred-Million-centimeter-long-blades Vaundy makes good use of the Chainsaw in his song, including the idle of the motor and revving of the enging. Maximum the Hormone is just good heavy vocals mixed with a lighter vocals.

53:59 It's the first season and there is a movie coming which will continue the story. There will probably be another season or more after that I haven't read the manga so I don't know. Sometime in anime, they make one part of the story into a movie when it fits better than a season. The anime is relatively new, the first season aired in 2022.

Pausing and commentating is completely fine. I prefer that to not pausing at all.

Ending 3 was performed by Maximum the Hormone - and yes, it's all one band. The female vocalist, Nao, is also the drummer and the older sister to Ryo, the lead vocalist. I can't recommend them enough 🤟🏿

38:30 The lyrics are actually wrong here, it's not "Get get on!" it's "Ge-ge-gero chu!". "Gero" is the Japanese word for vomit and "Chu" is the onomatopia for kissing, and all these endings reflect what happened in them so you can assume what happened in this one 😅😂

Great reaction! It's a bit overedited with different effects to my taste but your energy and insights are good stuff. Kinda funny to me how you didn't like some of the most popular ones as much lol

The main most famous Goats of anime soundtracks right now are most likely Aimer, Yoasobi and Hiroyuki Sawano (who never misses). So if youll do a reaction and see their names, be sure to prepare for some good time!

27:40 See, the interesting thing for us who have seen the anime is these endings have a different impact, when we have the context with the visuals and the song all combined. Whe they're judged just by the musical values, is a totally different creature.

42:00 I was quite hoping that you were gonna realize that those titles were the band's names , not the song's names when you saw TK who, yes, did the Tokyo Ghoul opening. 43:34 Well....damn. It kinda happened. Lolz.

I can't even imagine what could be in a 40 minute video with 13 endings, considering that all reactions to them are skipped. It's incredibly demotivating. Unfortunately, not everyone has the opportunity to get to Patrion (for example, it's blocked in my country). I would even like to give my money and watch a version without this incredible censorship, but I can't. It's worth thinking about an account on Boosty.
