Just reading these comments, I love how many barriers Dan breaks with his work. Pop fans who would never buy a Metal record are hearing something familiar but different, and loving it. Metal fans who would never listen to worship music are hearing Dan's previous songs and loving them. Singing coaches who've never considered Metal that much are reviewing his productions. And all of us are on here talking to each other about it, when we otherwise would not have much reason to interact. Keep it up Dan. We're loving it.

HUGS!!! As I heard this, and then read your comment, I've been reminded that my husband (who will be turning 71 in May --- I turned 74 in November) nearly bit the dust in January 2017, but thankfully, thankfully, thankfully, he didn't. He has a box in his chest that helps to keep his replacement aortic valve going strong, and he has to watch out for things like arcing machinery or being too close to huge lightning storms, etc., but HIS heart is now still going strongly on, and for that I will be FOREVER GRATEFUL, because that keeps MY heart being blessed.

@@chlopo5758 I thought about when I would leave. I'll be alone and that's good. So, failing to hear someone sing to me, I will think of this song. I have been angry enough with Christ without cutting him out of my life. And it is so admirably performed by Dan Vasc, that I hope to have the strength to think about this powerful song which always makes me cry while hoping to escape to find my companion. It's stupid, this will be my ultimate dream and request. If I could, I would offer with all my heart my remaining years so that you can regain your health. “Sacrifice.” Not for the forgiveness of Christ. The gift of oneself for others. The one we don't know. And undoubtedly, I admit, to no longer think but only to see the one I love and will always love. My oldest son and his wife loved this song. He had a huge cake with the titanic on it - made from a puzzle - with ice and smoke came out of the stacks. Both my boys died in August of 1999. The minute I hear it start - I remember that. They were and still are wonderful young men - just not here with momma! :-) Hugs from a great granny! There father died April 1 (this year) Goodness!

The unbridled joy you put into this performance is powerful and if I didn't believe that we all go on and on already I would begin to believe. This is the kind of joy my late father expressed in referencing his mother after her death. That open door for him would be the one we all will step through. Death does not close any door but opens new possibilities. You are so obviously born to perform power metal and aren't we all thankful for it.
